Got a coupon for a free Calamari appetizer from our Hotel and we bought gift cards from Costco, so we were looking forward to having a meal on our yearly family vacation. There was 9 of us and all of our orders came out wrong and cold. They served my hungry 8 year old her meal last and ten minutes after everyone else. We ask the waiter if we could get a POG for her and he rolled his eyes like we were bothering him. We asked the waiter to separate our bills he didn’t and had to do it at the end of our dinner. He got everything wrong and took 20 minutes to get it right. Then when we got our gift cards out he told us we couldn’t use them with the Free Calamari. When I challenged him on it he told me he didn’t have time to deal with my bull sh!^ and I asked for his manager he said what the F ever and walked away, all of this in front of my 8 year old and young niece and nephew. Manager Brandon came over and started to lecture us on how gift cards can’t be used with other promotions or discounts and showed us the disclaimer on the back of the card. I still felt a little bait and switch going on since I bought a drink during happy hour which is a discounted promotion, when I pointed this out I had Brandon standing over me yelling how it’s my responsibility to understand how the gift cards work. So when I told him just add it and I will just review it he said he didn’t give an F and his name was Brandon and would be looking forward to reading my review after he got me the hell of his FN Restaurant, again in front of my 8 year old daughter. Take your chance here if you want but I will never go back. The customer isn’t alway right but they are still the customer and if one of my employees talked to a customer like Brandon did right or wrong I would fire them on the spot.
I will skip Captain Jack's on my next trip. The salad was relatively good, but the coconut shrimp disappointing. The waitstaff was indifferent. My fiance ordered a simple burger, which had to be sent back. The music played here is heavy metal. The best thing about this restaurant is the upstairs view of Lahaina Town, and a nice breeze. Perhaps this place is just good for drinks.
Food was served cold with no flavor. Over priced bar food. Service was lousy. Both manager and server were super rude.
We stopped by twice while here for beers and mai tais. Henry is great to chat with and busy as heck. Don't know about the food, but the menu looked like it had some good bar food available
The service was good; waiter was friendly and food was served quickly once ordered. But the food was just “ok”. I had the Hawaiian Polly chicken sandwich and the Mac salad. My frozen adult beverage was probably the highlight of the meal.
We booked a tour on the island of Lanai which took most of the day when you count the 45-50 minute ferry ride each way. When we landed at the Lahaina dock we were in need of a bite and a drink. We wondered uptown and ran into Captain Jacks. Went up the stairs to balcony seating. We had very good service and food. I ordered the fish tacos which were outstanding and their hot sauce was worth buying and bringing home.
Enjoyed eating lunch at Captain Jack’s in Lahaina, Maui. Enjoyed the good food and good service. Enjoyed eating here so much, that we ate there 3 times during our 1-week stay. Captain Jack’s is a casual restaurant located upstairs. Great customer service by each server on the 3 days. Each took our order and remembered it without writing it down. Again service was great! Day 3: Server was Jolo Day 2: Server was Joshua Day 1: Server was Yna. Great job! Good food! Good location upstairs in Lahaina near the Courthouse Square with the largest banyan tree in the U.S.
Heavy. In a word, heavy. Volume over taste, like an Applebees or Chilis. Had the fish taco and have had better fish tacos from food trucks on this trip. One of the kids had a burger and it was “ok”. On the other hand, drinks were a reasonable, even normal price, and the bar playlist was a re-introduction of 90s ska and punk rock so you have that going for ya.
Definitely worth going upstairs! Stopped in for early lunch & a cool drink. They are across the street from the Banyan tree park. Food was great & staff was on the ball. When we left they were full. Good location to sit & people watch & enjoy a meal & a drink
Ordered fish and chips, mahi burger, clamchowder. Everything was fresh and tasty. We got our order fast, and prices were reasonable for such a touristy area.
