The food was incredible and the service was pretty good. They don't believe in air conditioning so dressing nice for dinner is a bad idea in August. No air flow at all. Valet was fast and friendly. Prepare to drop close to a grand for dinner with a party of four. Even tho a bit on the pricey side all in all it was a great experience. My son loved his Japanese strip steak and of course I had the tomahawk which did not disappoint at all.
Recommendation: Come here for the views and convenience as it is right in the four seasons if you stay there but the food isn’t memorable.Worse: truffle fries - no flavor or truffle at all. They were nice and removed it from the bill but still. The tamahawk steak was served raw when we asked for medium rare we had to send it back and it returned overcooked…Best: gnocchi were super soft and the tomato soup was good. The rest if the food was good but nothing that I will remember.
Had a reservation but hostess sat us 30 minutes later. We saw people who checked in after us get seated first. Almost left and ruined our meal. Our server was kind and made our overall experience better.
We love Spago! We do miss the old preparation of the pork but besides that - we enjoyed our meal immensely and we will be back.
I canât tell you how much I love this restaurant!! To me, itâs the best on the island. They get booked up quickly so make your reservation soon, preferably before you arrive on the island. If you are a local you know that you have to make reservations months in advance. Sashimi and fish are the freshest and are prepared beautifully. My only complaint was the sashimi was a small portion. Order the fresh fish and you wonât be disappointed. I had a hard time making up my mind but anything you choose on the menu will be up to your expectation. Lastly, as I stated before in a review the chocolate soufflé is the bomb!! Donât forget to bring your camera and take a sunset photo. We will be back soon I canât say enough about this wonderful restaurant!!
Food and service were fantastic but I feel over priced for what we ate that evening but hey I was willing to pay for the experience of going âSpagoâ Now that I have done it I will venture on to other restaurants donât need to come back but for those who have not tried it and donât mind shelling out 400 to 500 for family of 4 ( thatâs without wine) then I highly recommend it
Went for dinner last night ordered the pork chop the waitress said it was to be done medium as per the chefs recommendation that is exactly what I had it came out pink gooey raw in the middle I ate the ends then when I told her she said they were take half off because I ate half I found that to be completely unacceptable for the level of restaurant that that is supposed to be. Also we were seated at 7:15 730 and dinner did not come out till after 9. Everyone else at the table had fish I was the only one that had meat and it shouldâve been cooking prior to the fish so I donât understand how it couldâve been raw. Then when I asked for a wine recommendation between two $100 bottles of wine she try to upsell me a $450 bottle of wine
My husband and I went for anniversary and didnât quite have the experience we were hoping for. We were seated late, past our reservation. Then it took forever for waiter to bring us menu and greet us. It took around 40 minutes from the time we sat down and by the time we had our first drink. At this price they are charging, this type of service is not comparable. Also they were out of the truffle dishes, the main reason we chose this restaurant.
I ordered the Mahi Mahi with Molokai yams and baby carrots. The yams were cold and the carrots were so hard you could not get a fork in them. The Mahi was decent but nothing special. The serving staff was overtly friendly, stood much too close, and stayed far too long at the table talking just after the food was served. We came to have dinner with our family, not the staff. Very disappointed in both the unprofessional serving staff but even more so, the food.
Came here for our honeymoon and it was divine!
