What a fun place, and as a bonus they are WAZZU Coug Alum! We had a great time at Moose McGillycuddy's we went on Monday night specifically for the bingo. Although we didnt get a bingo we had a blast. Great food and if you are lucky enough you can get a perfect table to watch the sunset. And I went back to the bathroom a second time because the first time I didnt have my phone, there is stuff on the walls everywhere to look at and admire.
Taco Tuesday taco specials are the best deal around $3.50, $4.50 and $5.50 and the tacos are delicious and really big! Happy Hour until 7 has great drink specials and the $6, 20 ounce margarita was great…not too sweet and not to much mixer! It’s a bit of a dive bar if you like that kind of environment.
Took some refuge at the Moose in the middle of a hot day on the beach. And WOW was I surprised! Great cold drinks and AWESOME food! The gentleman (owner?) who waited on us was fantastic! I had the Loco Moco and was blown away. My teenage kids devoured their meals. I would easily return here!
We were staying just down the road from here and stopped for an early dinner one day. The location was great, the decor was fun and the food was delicious.
We had a great dinner here. It was a very fun environment on both occasions. Both times we got dinner and the first we dined in and the other time we got take out but hung out at the bar for a bit while waiting for our food. We had incredible, very attentive service by Danny. My son ordered the university burger and he said it was the best burger he had on the island. My mom got the guacamole burger and was also very pleased. I got the fisherman's platter, and I can say I didn't love it and definitely would go with something different the next time we visit. We were overall very pleased and can't wait to go back.
Great lunch and great service!! Music was good too. Food and drinks were fast! It was seat yourself so we got a nice spot. Had the Cuban sliders and Mai Tai. I would for sure recommend.
Happy hour is the time to go. Incredible cocktails for $7. I had the Mexicani salad which was out of this world! Not the best place to be at later in the night. Go for lunch. The spicy jalepeno tequila cocktail was a must have for anything that likes a little spicy kick. Paired well with the salad.
We were quite sentimental about Moose’s because we used to dine there with our kids whenever we took a vacation to Maui. We were really looking forward to their ambience and great food. It was our favourite place for food in Kihei. Unfortunately this time the service was terrible and the food was not good. It is sad what has happened to the restaurant. Hopefully by the time we return to Maui, Moose’s can get the quality back to what is was a few years ago.
A good thing to note if you are looking to have late dinner is that they close their kitchen at 9PM although they are open until 10 PM. But the bar is open during that time.I had French fries, coconut shrimp and chicken sandwich. I loved the fries, they were right amount of crispy and thickness!Restaurant is usually full. They do have a cozy setup and the service was on point. The staff is very friendly. But if you get a seat near windows you also get a good sunset view!
Good bar with some character and good service. Nice view too.Though we didn't try any food, it looked and smelled pretty tasty and the patrons seemed happy.
