While the service is a bit ho-hum, the food is amazing. The Hana Burrito is literally the best burrito I’ve had in my life. Absolutely incredible, as they have combined Mexican food with Hawaiian BBQ without compromising the integrity of either cuisine. Highly recommended.
I used to love this place. Got into Maui May 3rd and ate at Maui Tacos for dinner. I ordered the Maui pulled pork tacos. I woke up sick as a dog at 4am. Spent my first full day in Maui with food poisoning.I will not be returning next time I’m on the island
Overall it was kind of disappointing. The fish tacos were incredibly dry, and though they have a large salsa bar no amount of salsa could fix it. The salsa's at the bar were good though. The best part of my meal was the rice and beans.
I don't usually leave bad reviews and I'm not super picky about street tacos. The steak taco and the pork tacos we're super bland. We were disappointed, didn't even eat the whole thing.
One of my favorite places in Kihei 5 years ago, the quality and level of service was appreciably lost sines the last time I visited. The chicken was poor quality and lots of rice but little beans.
Maui's Tacos was recommended. Maybe at one time they were good but our tacos had very little fish. They were, however, full of slaw. They should have been called slaw tacos. The one place on Maui we were not happy with.
Hawaiian bbq pork tacos were absolutely delicious. Came with small side of tortilla chips that we dipped in to-go salsa from salsa bar. Busy with Kihei locals, and a few visiting celebrities - Michael Douglas, Woody Harrelson, and Hulk Hogan pictured on wall. Grilled fish taco was fresh and tasty! Staff were very friendly and efficient with the line.
I needed a quick bite after a long day on the Road to Hana. This place hit the spot! The fiah tacos were delicious! They were very quick at getting order. The portions are plentiful and a great value and quality. I definitely would recommend this little spot!!
Very expensive for “fast food”, food was ok, staff not very friendly. $40+ for 2 people. Vax card required to sit inside. Outside seating available. Food was actually ok, but my wife’s order wasn’t correct. Combined with price & attitude, I won’t go there again.
Service was great but the food was awful and overpriced. The guy recommended the ground beef or BBQ pork tacos. Spent $80 and took a bite of surf and turf, bbq taco, ground beef taco and tossed most of it in the trash. They were out of al pastor so I got bbq pork tacos which was basically shredded pork and BBQ sauce. If you want Mexican this is not the place for you. I highly doubt any locals go here...
