Quaint, small eatery with fantastic fruit and cream covered waffles with friendly down home service. The ice-cream looks awesome there too. The friendly worker in a golf cart at Kihei Worldmark Resort suggested we try the waffles at Maui Gelato. Small tables outside to sit at in the fresh morning air. This place is situated in Dolphin Plaza along south Kihei Road across from the Royal Mauian Resort on Kamaole Beach. Short walk from Kihei Worldmark Resort and other low-key condo resorts in this easy going, laid back area of budget friendly accommodations. Try the waffles, your mouth will be watering.
The BEST gelato & phenomenal fresh cake like waffles. They use super fresh fruit. And the gelato… is just magical. The staff is incredibly friendly as well. This has been the highlight of every night of our vacation- enough to fill an entire punch card before we leave! Super recommend this place, it’s colorful, smells delicious and for the crazy line out the building; it moves fast!Come here, tou won’t regret it. You’ll be hooked.
One of the few Gelato places still going strong on Maui and it is my favorite dessert place on the entire island! They have premium flavored ice cream flavors from Roselani and quality Gelatos. Everything here is good. I’ve never had a flavor I didn’t like. It really hits the sweet spot whenever I’m craving ice cream.
We visited Maui Gelato a couple of times while staying in Maui's Kihei area and the gelato was delicious. The different serving sizes I think are generous and there are many flavors to choose from. Service was always friendly and welcoming too. Be sure to check out Maui Gelato if you are in the mood for a treat!
Small batch and made on site. This is the best. We've had it every night of our vacation so far and we will continue to visit until we leave.
The variety of options. available were amazing. While we tried several different shave ice and ice cream spots during our stay, we found ourselves returning to this place over and over. Their large shave ice is the largest we've every experienced. Several dairy free options with their gelato. Though there would often be a line (especially during the heat of the day), it moved very quickly. Even so, we never felt rushed.
Yummy gelato & ice cream. You have to try their coconut & chocolate cones! So good!!They don’t do waffles 1 hour before closing which sucks but super friendly staff makes up for it :)
We’ve ordered an acai bowl and tropical trio waffle. It was all delicious and fresh. The staff was very friendly. Would recommend.
Fantastic! Shave ice was great and so much too. Gelato was excellent. Lots of flavor choices. The waffles looked and smelled so good but we did not get them. Our kiddo was asking about sprinklers so they even gave us a little cup of sprinkles to add to our shave ice. Very kind of them; they went above and beyond in service.
My husband and I stopped in for dessert on our last night in Maui. Honestly, we went there because it was past 8 pm and all of the other dessert places were closed. But we were very pleasantly surprised by how good it was!
