Quite simply our favourite place on Maui. Ono fish and chips is an absolute must for us every trip to Maui. Been coming for years and love it. We actually chose our condo because it was so close to Maui Fish’n Chips and when we leave for the airport home, we will make our final meal Maui Fish’n Chips again. Love the Ono! We are Halibut people from the West coast of Canada and I’ve had Haddock from the East coast but I wish we had Ono! So yummy! In fact, we just decided to have it again today, heading there soon! BTW, this isn’t fine dining, it’s a fish and chips shop! Back home they wrap mine in newspaper. For those of you treating this like anything other than a fish and chips shop, you need to give your head a shake - have the fish and chips! They are awesome!
We hadn't been back to Maui for three years and hoped we'd still love Maui Fish'n Chips and it didn't let us down. The fish was delicious, and the batter that was used was some of the best fish and chip batter I've had in my life. It was seasoned perfectly and was light and crunchy, delicious!! Our order was prepared quickly, was well priced and service by the young guy at the front counter was friendly and helpful. If you are in the mood for fish and chips be sure to visit Maui Fish'n Chips for dinner, and watch one of Maui's amazing sunsets at either Kamaoele 1, II or III beaches. It is a magical way to spend some time in Maui!
The fish and chips were fantastic! Best I've had in Maui. I had the Mahi Mahi and a side of the red potato macaroni and I loved it. Great service and fast. One of my new favorites in Maui. I definitely recommend this little spot. It's in the back corner of a small shopping center so don't miss it. The fella from Georgia was super nice!!!
The fried mahi mahi and chips and poke bowl was awesome. I think the fries here are the best in Maui; perfect size and stayed very crispy through the whole meal.
I ate here because I had eaten here several years ago. I specifically remembered the large portion size and delicious food. I ordered to go this time and while the food was good, the portion size of the approximately $15 plate was absurdly small. It was literally in a small plastic tray as seen in the photo. This place would receive 4 stars if the portions were about double their size.I will say the staff were very courteous and nice.
This is a GREAT fish & chips joint in Kihei. We had tried a few and most had been meh.... This joint has great price point. The cod pieces were cooked perfectly as were their fries... We also had their poke - HUGE portion and super fresh - even on a Sunday evening. The grilled shrimps needed a bit of work - rather simple and the slaw was just chopped cabbage. Having said that, overall - great fish & chips and wonderful poke @ a great price point for Maui. Staff was super nice and friendly too.
Nice local place. I got the cod fish and chips. I appreciated the light and airy frying. It was made fresh to order. It was tasty. Not heavy, but a solid serving. I couldn't finish it, even after a long walk to the restaurant. It is tucked in the back of one of the shopping plazas. Make the effort to find it.
The fish and chips like many other restaurants is more like fish croquets/fingers. Not the traditional 3' x 5" fillet. Thus more batter overall, fortunately batter was very good. Fries have a coating to add extra texture after frying, but not to my liking of traditional fries. The cod fish was fresh, moist and delicious. Good friendly service.

Everything we had here was delicious. The fried ono was perfectly done with large fish pieces. Got garlic fries which were unreal and flavorful. Also tried the poke bowl- which was super fresh with a great sauce. Highly recommend!
