Lovely pastry shop close to Kihei. Went twice during our trip. Everything we tried was great/ only wish they had hot coffee available but you can grab some next door.
Loved their hawaiian muffin! It had the right amount of crunchiness and the inside was still warm and soft. I couldnt stop eating it. You get hints of pineapple, coconut and macadamia nuts. I need to go back to try the rest of their creations. Thank you
This bakery is wonderful!! My daughters will dream about pretzel baguettes long after we leave Maui. The pretzel croissant is truly unique and delicious, and the Hawaiian muffin was heavenly. Do NOT miss the collection of jams and butters made locally on the island. Worth every penny—we are taking some home as souvenirs. What makes this bakery truly special are the women who run it. Elfie is a treasure and was so kind to us and to our daughters—Kristin also is a joy. Worth multiple visits!
We went to Maui Bread Company one morning for fresh bread and some sweet treats. Service was friendly and there was a lovely selection to choose from. The bread was good and the chocolate pastries were nice but a little overcooked. If you try Maui Bread Company arrive early to have the most selection as they get busy, and if you are going during the week be sure to check online for the opening hours as they are closed mid week for a short break.
Every time we come to Maui we make multiple trips to this bakery. Everything they make is delicious and because of this it can sometimes be difficult to get the treats you want if you arrive later in the morning. Today was our second trip there this week to hopefully get some cinnamon buns but alas we were too late! The same young lady served us again and my 9 year old daughter and I asked her about the cinnamon buns just in case there happened to be more trays in the back. She informed us that someone earlier had purchased the last of them. While we went up to the cashier to purchase our other items she went in the back, took the cinnamon bun she put aside for her own lunch, and gave it to my daughter! Such a beautiful gesture. This made my daughter and I's day and although I thanked her and the cashier at the time (and helped fill their tip jar) I wanted everyone to know what wonderful people work at this business. I'm sure the last 2 years have been very difficult for small tourist based businesses like this but this place obviously came out on top due to amazing staff as well as the best baked goods!
Incredible German quality bread. Bakery sells out early because it’s that good. Owners gracious enough to show us the kitchen and the ovens used were top notch. These hard working Oma’s are the real deal and love to support this company when in the area. Love their tropical mustards as well.
We wanted to grab a quick pastry before setting off for the day and this European-style bakery had croissants, turnovers, buns and breads. Very tasty.
Very tasty baked goods. Try the Pretzel Croissants. Staff is nice enough. Usually a big line up. Go early. Brownies are really dry and cookies don’t have that much flavour.
We ate breakfast here and enjoyed it. We had an egg, ham and cheese croissant, a coconut/pineapple bread “muffin” and 4!almond scones to eat at the condo the next morning. I also had an orange, passion fruit and guava juice that was delicious. They have nothing but baked goods… cookies, muffins, scones, breads and coffee/juice. Easy in and out with seating available outdoors. At the time of our visit we still had to wear masks and they allowed only 4 customers inside at one time.
This bakery was wonderful! Not only did it have great selection of breads, rolls, and coconut biscotti, but it had the best coconut macaroons with chocolate bottoms I could find in Kihei! Since we were still dealing with COVID, only 6 people were allowed in at a time (long line outside but worth the wait), and lots of the treats were bagged in plastic. Be sure and get there early for the best selection. We will be back next year, and I'll be stocking up on the macaroons and bread again!
