Well worth whatever wait. The experience, quality and atmosphere is unmatched. With that, respect goes a long way here, there’s rules for reservations that must be respected and if not they just ask you to leave.Chiefs special was great. Thank you for the experience.

Amazing small family run sushi place. Difficult to get a reservation, but worth it.

Omakase and clam soup were very flavorful and fresh. Great prices and wonderfully intimate customer service. The pieces were so big and delicious. Highly recommend. Must make reservations!

Honestly the best sushi I have had outside of Japan. Keep in mind, this is authentic sushi and nigiri...you won't find sauces, tempura shrimp, or cream cheese here. I recomend the chef's choice nigiri plate! You need to make a reservation for this place far in advance.

Have a great time to eat Sushi here? Authentic Sushi, Sushi Chef is the best?service very nice and friendly. Thank you so much.

Our last day on me and my husband’s honeymoon and nothing suited it better than this amazing dinner at Koiso Sushi Bar. We were extremely lucky to get reservations last minute as they are usually booked weeks in advanced. From the moment we were seated to when we left it was nothing short of an amazing experience as well as what I would say the best sushi I have ever had. It was our first time trying chef’s choice “Omakasa” and it is definitely the way to do it. The fish melts in your mouth and tastes extremely fresh. Each piece you can tell is made with attention to detail and care. If you can, make sure to make this a stop on your trip to Maui.

This place is good, but it’s very small (which I like) and it takes MUCH effort to get a reservation these days; it was never like this even before COVID. The prices are quite high, and the quality is good. But not worth the effort and cost.

As a chef, the sushi here was amazing. You could taste the cut on the fish in your mouth it was that good. The experience was wonderful the service was attentive and polite but the technique and the quality of the chef was at a world class level. I would suggest to bring two people and order the entire menu.

As many have said - most of the battle is just getting a reservation in the first place. We had to call on the first of the preceding month right when they opened and it took about an hour of calling before we got through. The food is definitely worth the hype and it’s fairly priced for the high quality. We both got the omakase and it was enough for us!

Best sushi ever. We try to go whenever we visit Maui, but it’s nearly impossible to get reservations, since they are booked up a full month in advance.
