Hands down the best food truck experience ever! This place will blow you away. The presentation is absolutely gorgeous and the food is dynamite. We had the Seafood platter and it was one of the best meals ever. And you MUST try their dessert items!!! The staff is friendly, and the customer service is great. There’s a lot of seating in the midst of the beautiful garden. Maui’s must try!

This place is unique. We came here for dinner, it was already dark and it looked like an oasis in the desert, a hidden garden. A guitarist singer was playing on a chair for a few delighted spectators. The chef is really friendly and explained the concept behind the name. The food was delicious, fresh, flavorful and beautifully presented. The drinks were refreshing. Finally, the sweets were the cherry on top. Thanks Cole for such a great experience, nous reviendrons!

Overall a good dining experience at Kitoko. The food truck itself is parked in a nice little park-like area with tons of outdoor seating. We got the daily special, which was a seafood coconut curry, and the Ceviche Hawaiiano. Both dishes had striking presentation. The curry wasn’t much of a curry, but the sauce was still tasty and all of the contents were good as well. The fish and shrimp in the ceviche were cooked well, but the tomatoes combined with the lime-based sauce made the dish very acidic and difficult to finish. While tasty, the sweet potato side wasn’t enough to cut the acidity. We also got the tiramisu for dessert and it was very good. The fact that it was in a jar made for interesting presentation but awkward consumption, especially since spoons aren’t provided on the utensil rack. All in all, the taste of the dishes were good aside from some minor gripes, and the presentation was great. I can see why it is reviewed highly. However, I don’t think it’s quite worth the price.

Dropped by here and got a Grilled Kauai Shrimp Bento box. The shrimp was nicely cooked and the seasoning/sauce on the salad was good. I think it was a bit pricy for the portion size but the food was tasty. I would definitely come back and try something else. The stand is located in a pretty cool botanical garden which is fun to walk around in while you wait for your food. Plenty of outdoor seating as well.

Truly a hidden gem in the area! High quality food worth the price. Product & quality you would expect from a high end restaurant coming from a food truck. We actually just ended up getting dessert but the food looked delicious. They also have a bakery which I would want to try out next time for the sourdough. The seating area adjacent to the South Maui Gardens is also a delight.

We went to Kitoko for dinner based on all their amazing pictures online and the rave reviews. Unfortunately, it just didn't hit the mark for us.We got the braised loco moco and the grilled Kauai shrimp for our mains. The loco moco was good, albeit unconventional as it doesn't use the usual hamburger steak. It's closer to that of a braised short rib or chuck roast. The fried egg and rice cake in particular were quite good. Although the Kauai shrimp were large and fresh, we found them a bit mushy, likely as a result of cooking them with heads on for slightly too long. It's really the dessert that was frankly a bit unpleasant. We got the lilikoi meringue tart to share. There was an odd bitterness and astringency to the tart, both in the crust base and in the lilikoi custard, which we suspect to be related to excessive baking soda. In fact, we tried cutting the tart in half with a disposable knife which proved to be impossible. It actually broke the knife in a bit of a comical fashion. Perhaps this was a mistake in the mixing process? The meringue was a bit grainy as well. It's quite unfortunate as we were really looking forward to their deserts.I think that had we come a bit earlier, as we visited around an hour before closing, that we would be able to explain our concerns more clearly. I do understand that their dessert lines are being made in collaboration with another group and so perhaps they are still working things out.

The best food truck in Maui without doubt. Even better than lots of restaurants in Maui though it is just a food truck. The fusion tastes surprisingly great. You can tell that the chef and his team aim to offer high standard gourmet and service but not requiring diners to pay a lot. Respect!! Definitely will come back if I have a chance to revisit Maui.

The food actually blew my mind. The shrimp was prepared perfectly and with the most amazing topping. Was also super filling. I’m paralyzed from the lilikoi meringue it was insanely good. And the place itself was fantastic! Highly recommend. It’s actually really hard to find really good food on Maui so I’m super grateful to have discovered Kitoko ?

Wow!! After reading reviews, I had high expectations, but Kitoko exceeded in every way. Great (fast) customer service, beautiful presentation, and the food was spectacular!! We've visited multiple islands and been to many great restaurants, but this is up there with the best food I've had anywhere in Hawaii.. Do yourself a favor and get the seafood platter; it's worth every penny!!

I was hesitant to order something at this food truck because I wasn’t even sure what I was ordering. I was confused by the menu. I’m so glad I got something. The Okinawa sweet potato was SO GOOD! It was so fresh and delicious. The flavors were perfect and it looked gorgeous too. And the lilikoi meringue pie was delish too and beautiful. Check this place out! They are so professional for a food truck. It was more like a fancy restaurant.
