After reading someone’s review that this was the best meal they had on Maui, I would have to agree. Do yourself a favor and go with the combo platter so you can have a full entree dish and also sample 2 pieces of either the calamari or the coconut shrimp. I opted for the grilled mahi mahi and the coconut shrimp, and honestly was the most tasty thing I’ve had so far. The fish was cooked perfectly and very fresh and the coconut shrimp was nice and crispy with the succulent shrimp inside. This way I got the best of both worlds getting to binge on some fried food but also eating some healthier version of the fresh seafood. Would come back here every day if I could.Only downside is it was a bit pricy, but that’s expected for anywhere in Hawaii and it was totally worth it here
Seared ahi was done nicely. The wasabi cream sauce was a big hit with the family. The crispy mahi mahi was fried well. Didnt taste too greasy. I got it with the guava bbq sauce and it was good. The grilled mahi mahi was good too. They really liked the mango salsa. All entrees come with a soy sauce flavored rice and a feta salad. The 3 entrees came out to $63. We tried to eat at the beach but the wind blee sand everywhere. Ended up enjoying the food in the car.
We enjoyed our meals so much that we went back the next night and had the same things. Our favorite was the ahi bombs with wasabi sauce. Close second was the Mahi mahi with mango salsa. We got sides of coconut shrimp and calamari strips and loved both. In addition to the mains, plates come with very good rice and delicious salad.
Grilled Mahi ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐- 2 pieces of perfectly seasoned grilled fish with mango garnish- delicious, seasoned rice- green salad with feta and tasty dressingOne of the best meals I had on the island.
Tastes like homemade food. Delicious food, friendly staff! Try their ahi bombs, coconut shrimp or chicken Katsu.
Aloha! Had dinner here our first night. Everyone enjoyed the coconut shrimp, garlic shrimp, and chicken katsu. Mahalo!
Staff were friendly and our experience was a short wait between ordering and receiving our meals.Calamari was tender and tasty. Mahi mahi was okay, a little dry. Salads were a little too drenched in ranch for our palates (Australian). Meals were appropriately sized for 2 adults.Food is average value for the price (just under $35US for 2 meals).
OH MY, WHAT A LUCKY FIND! We’ve been in Maui 3 days & this was by far my favorite meal! I had the Garlic Shrimp plate & my hubs had the Cajun Shrimp plate, both served with incredible sauces….. (think ‘flavor explosion’). The shrimp were perfectly cooked and served w/an amazingly delicious salad, and an superbly flavored rice. My husband raved about the salad dressing and the salad. I could easily see this food truck turn into a very successful restaurant someday!
I had the grilled mahi mahi, my friend had the crispy mahi mahi and hubby had the seared Ahi tuna. All the meals were great. No macaroni salad, which made us happy. Highly recommend.
OK for a truck. We had the grilled ahi with salsa and an order of the spicy shrimp. The brown rice was way, way over cooked... The rice clumped together. Grilled fish was OK nothing to write home about. The spicy shrimp is good. Salad was just ok... too much cheese... High price point - $ 21 per plate!
