We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Ama Bar and Grill at the Fairmont in Maui. Nick and Noel were behind the bar and served us amazing cocktails and we also had an awesome lunch of fish tacos and burgers. The setting was great- overlooking the pool ( part of the bar is a swim up bar) and the food was reasonably priced (for Hawaii) and great quality but what stood out to us the most was the way that Nick and Noel made us feel super welcome and pampered but in a chill and relaxed way. They embody the Aloha Spirit and solidified to us that Fairmont does it right. We are sold on this hotel chain based on the experiences we had both at the Maui and Big Island Fairmont Resorts due to the excellent staff.
Spent many hours poolside and in the thick Maui heat, Keahi was still super attentive to all 6 of us. We ordered lots of drinks and pupus and everything was delicious. Absolutely get Tsunami Fries and the Tidal Wave!!! Keahi was punctual with service and very helpful making our time even more relaxing, we did not want it to end!
Overpriced and average food. Small restaurant - only one open at lunch at Hotel and there are simply not enough spots. Prepare to wait 30 min between 11-2 for a table. I don't mind paying for good food - this was not it.
First place we had drinks and food when we arrived at the Fairmont Kea Lani. The drinks were refreshing and delicious, as well as, yummy food. Pricing was decent for everything we got. Beautiful view as well!
Poke was brown ($25) and had to be brought back. Cocktails seemed pre-mixed ($18). Shrimp had bugs on it. Most expensive AND worst meal you could find on Maui. They refunded the poke and shrimp, hence 2 stars instead of 1. Server was great, she just had to deal with bad food.
Thankfully I got the Kama'aina rate otherwise I would have needed a 2nd mortgage on my condo.
What a beautiful location the food was spectacular and the service was so amazing. Everyone there was so pleasant and so helpful but our main waitress was Kayla and she sure did give us such a wonderful experience. Best service I've experienced in the 2 weeks. Her customer service was impressive and I watched her really hustle for all of her customers and boy was she busy yet she really took good care of us. Thanks Ama Bar for your hospitality. Untill next year.

Poolside or swim-up, service is attentive and timely. We enjoyed cocktails that were on and off the menu and loved the food offerings for lunch by the pool. Don’t miss the Maui Brew Co. seltzer they have on tap!
I had a great experience eating here during my visit in Maui! The food and drinks were tasty and high quality. Our server Kas went above and beyond to make our experience a 10/10! He went through hoops to accomadate my requests and had a smile and humor while doing so.
