Was in town and picked up some beans and took them home with me to California for my aeropress. Excellent coffee. This is the place to go if in Maui. The Makawao Ave is a winner and easily as good as any Kona I’ve had if not better. Well done!
Loved this place so much my friends and I came all 3 days we stayed in Wailea. Don't let the line deter you, the staff inside work so hard and quickly! The specialty lattes are well flavored and not too sweet. The NOLA cold brew is nutty and the barista advised I go with coconut or oat milk. All the pastries were delicious!
Well worth the wait. Very friendly and patient staff.
Service is very slow , the food is mediocre and expensive, see their toasted slight burnt $15 croissant sandwich in the picture . They couldn't give us a plain croissant in a cafe because all things are pre-made in the fridge. Please drive a few more minutes and go to Java café. The only saving grace is the coffee which is excellent- otherwise my review would be 1 star.
If you are a regular coffee drinker and regularly drink good coffee, don't go to Akamai. It's overpriced coffee that tastes cheap and gives you a tummy ache.
We were looking for a coffee/breakfast spot we could walk to, that wasn't in a hotel. Found this online and it turned out to be the best find - we went every morning of our stay in Maui. Really good service, excellent food and a nice spot to chill and relax. It's kind of off the main area of Wailea, in a shopping center, but easy to find.
I apologize because I confused you with another coffee company :( You all were so amazing during COVID with us HUNGRY HOMELESS HERO delivery volunteers. Thank you ? so much for your hospitality ? Aloha ??
Huevos breakfast thingy was good and so was the egg toast, cappuccino was amazing too, my husband tried the black salt coffee thing was too salty for our palate. Definitely a good spot for a quick breakfast.
Loved the lox and cream bagel, it’s so fresh - a perfect start to my day. Coffee is great too!
No masks for the staff, and not requiring masks for patrons indoors? And on top of it, there is a lot of vocal anti-vaxx talk going on? No thanks! This is a coffee shop in one of the most affluent areas in the USA. It's an area where a lot of very successful people live or vacation. Many retired and older. Lots of them are very intellectual (as you have to be to be successful enough to live in Wailea). And then you have this?!? A place that isn't just anti-vaxx, but that defies the law by not having their staff wear masks? The general demographic here is older, and thus needs to be more careful with the pandemic than elsewhere, and then this?!? In times like these, you have to spit in the face of the community? I don't care what you think about the pandemic. The law is the law! And yes, this place caters to a hip young crowd, but nevertheless, one interacts with a lot of older people. And then they feel they can just blatantly ignore the law and not wear masks?!? I'm appalled! I kinda liked the place before, but there are better places to go. I won't be back. Coffee is pretty decent, but not good enough to make it worth endangering my older friends and family for.
