Sure, if I wanted to drive 45 minutes each way every morning, I'd be in line at Leonard's. But Zippy's malasada presentation, cooked to order suits me just fine. I don't know if the locals feel the same, but I'm addicted, and if you looked at my waistline, you'd know that I also craved the Napples, too. I've got to walk this off.
I went to Zippy's in Kapolei the other day for late dinner. One thing I like about Zippy's is that they close late (at midnight). However the best thing is I love their Chili Rice and Korean Chicken so much.Highly recommended if you can't decide where to eat after your late shift (before midnight).A sincere recommendation from a Vietnamese traveller here on this lovely Oahu island.
The food was very good. Pricing was good. Service was excellent. Overall we would go back and recommend especially if you are watching your budget
We love the occasional Zippy's but the last 4 time we went the fried chicken has been bad. Almost like it was sitting in a warmer way to long or way over cooked. Skin is just hard. Not a good crunchy fried skin either but almost a leathery texture. Hopefully it's just a pandemic thing and it gets better soon!
Day 2 of our vacation and we were treated to a very good breakfast ? at Zippy's. Did not disappoint at all. Great people and service with all smiles. A must visit and I was told by our hosts we will be back before we leave.
Absolutely delicious and so worth every penny! So much good food. I would go there all the time if I lived here!! Great staff and great service!
My Grand-daughter Hannah's favorite place when she lived there and she wanted her Gram and Pap to make sure we went back. The food was delicious! The waitresses were more than helpful and friendly and they were super clean, everyone wore masks, we had to also and show vaccination cards. I highly recommend! The service is superb!!
You can't beat this classic family restaurant. The Chill Fries are so good, and their daily specials are always good. When we don't know what we want to eat, we just go to Zippy's and order the daily special and let auntie whip up a good meal for us.
I love Zippys and their restaurants. So with my years of eating with them, I think this restaurant is a decent location. Definitely good restaurant, service, and a really good restroom. Just the only downside is that their takeout ordering counter can be hectic sometimes and your orders take a while to process. My last visit, I ordered a simple chili bowl and it took them 20 minutes to scoop chili into a bowl once. They weren't even that busy with 2 people infront of me and only 1 behind. Still nice service overall, just a wee bit timely and unorganized.
We got the Ohana family meal. The Korean Chicken was great. The noodles were good. Most surprising was the chili, it was excellent. Being visitors to the state this was a nice place to try.
