This use to be my favorite a Hibachi spot on the island but the service has been getting worse every time we go. Tonight’s chef cooked our food so fast that he beat the two Chefs that were cooking before him at other tables and we had more people. He wasn’t entertaining at all. We had four in our party that had never been to a hibachi so they were not impressed. I ordered a Blue Hawaiian cocktail which was disgusting. When I spoke to the waiter about it he began to tell me about how they make that drink all the time. I asked him to take it away. He instead offered to bring more pineapple juice to add to it. Again I asked him to take it away. He called the manager. The manager came over quoting the Hawaii law about not being able to resale the drink so I couldn’t bet a refund. I never asked for a refund. I only asked for the drink to be removed from the table because I didn’t like it. We were celebrating two people retiring but tonight’s customer service soured the occasion. The waiter received an automatic $48 tip. His service wasn’t worth that at all.
It was the first time I went (7.16.22) and while the food was delicious it can be pricey. The only thing that I disliked was there was too much sauce. If you don't want too much sauce make sure to ask for light sauce.
I had a great experience, the food was delicious fresh.. My waitress (Christine) was amazing! She was super friendly, and very attentive! I had beef tataki as an appetizer, some ebi and tuna nigiri sushi and for my main I ordered Teppanyaki, filet mignon and chicken w/ fried rice. Came with miso soup and side salad, white rice (or for $2 you can upgrade it to fried rice. The filet mignon was about a $6 upcharge.... It though that was reasonable.
Chef Collin was incredible ?!!! ???????????????His food was delicious ? I was on a cleanse so I ordered the vegetables but it was so delicious!!! Highly recommend and also the price is so good!•Hibachi is the grill you sit at and you need 4 minimum to order there. Highly recommend for any parties, birthday, wedding rehearsal, girls/guys night out. They can do it family style or have it more 21+ with the choice of music and also the Sake shots (or your choice)they give you during the grilling!! Such a great time!!We did it family style for the first time, but we are really thinking of bringing our birthday/wedding parties here!!!
Service was excellent you can tell their staff is trained properly they work in tandem. From the miso soup to the specials their menu is amazing. I got the chicken plate and the seasoning was next level, being a chef I thought by chopping the chicken so small it would be dry and I was dead wrong so juicy and flavorful. We sat out doors the ambience and lighting is everything.
Six of us went there for dinner and had an awesome time. Your own cook prepare the food in front of you with style, music and great conversation. Heather‘s in the group took part of the sake tasting which was fun to watch.
Food was absolutely delicious but our experience was not that good. We were seated quickly but took about 20-30 minutes before we could place our order. While we were waiting for our food a cockroach casually walked onto our table. We receive our food about 30 minutes later and it’s delicious but we see a hair mingled in the food. Our waitress was very polite & friendly but she never checked on us and when we needed something we had to ask a different server so our original waitress could bring the item to us. This would take us 10 more minutes. Food was good but we will not pick this location next time.

My family of five (3x kids) heard great things about Sakura and decided to try the place out. First off, the outer decor as you walk up to the restaurant is beautiful with water fountains, LED displays, and the outer patio area of the restaurant. As we walked inside, we were enthusiastically greeted by the host and she took us to our table. All the servers were tremendously welcoming and polite! Their positive attitude allowed us to become comfortable as soon as we sat down. We ordered appetizers and drinks almost immediately. My husband ordered the cocktail "AMF" and is recommended if you like strong drinks with a good taste. The bartender definitely DOES NOT spare the alcohol and is very generous! I wanted to try the "Hello Kitty" shot so we ordered two. Let me tell you, they were so good that I forgot to take pictures!!!I ordered the "Salmon Combo" and it seemed to just melt in my mouth. First off, I love salmon and it is my favorite. I have tried salmon everywhere I've been on Oahu and mainland. The salmon at Sakura is by far, the BEST I've ever had! I would for sure recommend it! We ordered the "Kids Hibachi Chicken and Steak" for my three children. The quantity and quality of the plates when they came out was amazing! There were plentiful amounts of food that we had to box it up at the end to take with us. I also ordered the "Crispy Yellow Tail" and "Ninja Roll." The Crispy Yellow Tail dish was excellent! There was plenty of items on the plate that we decided to box up the rest of the Yellow Tail for a late night snack with beer. Rolls with cucumber is one of my favorites and the Ninja Roll blew me out of the water! The roll is pretty big and I had to take three bites to eat one, but for some amazing reason, the roll remained intact making my experience with that roll even better because along with the tremendously delicious taste, everything was neat and organized!The next dish we ordered was the "Sashimi Deluxe." The picture of this dish speaks for itself! First off, the presentation of this dish is amazing! The creativity and craftsmanship that was used to plate this dish is out of this world and made the experience even better than I've ever experienced! Then comes the sashimi, which was so fresh that we could simply eat it without dipping it in soy sauce and it would just seem to melt in your mouth. The temperature of the fish was perfect! I would 100% recommend this dish!Finally, for dessert, we ordered 2x fried tempura vanilla ice creams. There was plenty of ice cream to share and we all loved the texture and taste!All in all, our experience was one that we will never forget for sure! My family and I will continue coming back to Sakura as much as we can. I hope this review helps to persuade you to try the restaurant out if you have not yet done so and I'm sure you will have the same excellent experience we did.Thank you Sakura for a night we will not forget!
Everything my husband and I got was AMAZING!!! A must come and try and if you want to celebrate an event this is the place to come… U must also try their other location everyone is a little different with their own touch… Aloha ??
