DO NOT COME HERE!!! I REPEAT DO NOT COME HERE!!! They are overpriced and treat you like an inconvenience, their food is not as good as before, they got lazy AND if you don't LOOK CAREFULLY at your receipt THEY WILL CHARGE YOU THEIR TIP 18% AUTOMATICALLY!!!! Their service is HORRIBLE!!!!! -- TRUST ME, I am saving you from a VERY BAD EXPERIENCE!!! you're better off going somewhere else!!! The waiters/waitresses are not welcoming and have an attitude.
Ended up coming here for brunch since my Cafe was a 45 min wait ! Got to love good food place in Hawaii everything has a line. Well I read the reviews some good some bad so I decided to give it a try once you walk in very nice staff greeted me. Sat my wife and I down. The portions are very large which is why things may look expensive to you but they really aren't expensive. My wife got the sesame chicken I got the Mongolian beef. We got Vegetable fried rice to share but everything on the menu is already at shareable portion. The chicken was decent very juicy not to crispy or soggy just right. The Mongolian beef I had was pretty good the steak was just a tiny bit tough but other than that pretty decent. I enjoyed my time here I will be back again some other time. The staff made you feel welcomed which I loved the most.
The food was okn the service really sucked and they gave themselves 16 percent tips. One of our dishes was spoiled and I couldn't even let them know becuase like I said they only came to our table but 2 times. Worse ever, I don't recommend going here at all it's over p4iced for what they give and the tip thing was just the last straw. I did leave then a not on it as well, but I just found out if it's not posted, which it wasnt, it's against the law to take a tip out without asking or having it posted. The other thing is it's not like we had a big group it was only my hubby and I. I know Applebee's tells you before you even start that they will be adding a 15 percent tip if that's ok for any group more then 6. This place is out thoer minds.
I have no complaints about the food or service. Just make sure that when paying your bill by credit card or debit card that you take a good look at the bill. They automatically put an 18% gratuity on your total bill. And I only had a party of 4. I normally like to tip in cash and not via my card at all. Just a public service announcement...
This was the worst food I have ever been served in a restaurant. Egg rolls were dried up and burnt, sea food was slimy meat was discolored, we tasted and PAID. Don’t get cheated stay away.
Ordered takeout from Kapolei Chinese Restaurant. Ordered Crispy GauGee Mien, Shrimp Canton, KauYuk with buns. I have been going to Kapolei Chinese Restaurant for Years. The Shrimp Canton seemed it was frozen then reheated. Tough. The Kau Yuk was fine but the buns were not steemed. More like sttemed, then reheated. Rubbery. The noodles were good but the GauGee was frozen then reheated. Recommend order at restaurant not by phone. Check for freshly cooked.
Good place to sit and have dinner with ohana. Our family love to come here and enjoy Chinese cuisine.
Should have known when there was only one other table when we got there. Food was not good at all and they made you feel like you were an inconvenience . Would not recommend.
never coming here again .. walked in and one of the cashiers was yelling at a customer , when it came down to paying i looked at my reciept and they take out there own tip without asking you . MAKE SURE YOU LOOK AT YOUR RECIEPT CAREFULLY WHEN EATING HERE they rip you off big time
They have good selections in their menu. Mostly typical items you would find in other Chinese restaurant here in Hawaii. The staff are friendly specially for loyal customers. They look attentive to the dine-in customers. I didn't notice however staff goes round to refill water. For this visit we bought 3 items for take out. Egg blossom soup, salted pepper spareribs, and sweet and sour fish fillet. My wife and I like the food. They all taste what we expected how it would be. We wish they could have separate the sauce from the fish fillet but I guess we didn't request for it. We like it separated so when we reheat it, the fish will not be soggy. The coating for the spareribs is crunchy when it's warm but kind of gets hard after cooled down. Overall, I think this restaurant is okay and we'll continue to come again and explore their other items on the menu. It's not the best so I rated it close to 4 stars.
