When I tell y’all I haven’t had good ribs like this in YEARS!!! Wow. The whole plate was amazing. Ribs, Mac and cheese, cabbage, and banana pudding. Everything was seasoned to perfection and portioned well. Love the hospitality while order. Family atmosphere and worth every dime and then some!

I absolutely love the food here at Joe’s Backyard BBQ in Kapolei Hawaii. My all time favorite is the Jamaican oxtail and Bbq brisket, but you should call in advance to check because they don’t always have it. I actually have these two dishes flown in from Oahu to the Big Island sometimes.Today I got to taste the catfish poboy and the pulled pork sandwich. Omg, the honey mustard sauce on the pork sandwich was amazing and not to mention how catfish was so good! Catfish was seasoned wonderfully and it was crispy on the outside and moist in the inside. Love the catfish! I recommend this lunch wagon because Joe and his wife never disappoints. Flavors are always on point!
We recently moved to Ewa Beach and were driving around getting familiar with the neighborhood. We drove by some random food trunks a couple of times. Finally decided to stop by and try Joe's Backyard BBQ. IT IS AMAZING!!! IT IS ONE OF THE BEST BBQ PLACES I HAVE EVER EATEN AT!!! Can't believe he makes magic in a trunk. Definitely recommend stopping by if your in the neighborhood. You will NOT be disappointed!
The BBQ brisket was awesome, but I didn't like the Mac and Cheese combination. First time eating from Joe's Backyard food truck. I woul wat here again to try some of their dishes. The owner was super nice...
They are always pleasant. Always attentive. They don’t wait to greet customers from behind a window. They are personable and I love supporting their business. Joe even comes from behind the grill to talk motorcycles. Awesome service. 5 stars
Hands down best BBQ on the island . I’ve had there fresh pulled pork sandwich with there homemade Carolina sauce. Pulled pork was tender , Carolina sauce evenly poured over with that amazing slaw they make !! Ordered the combo as well the next day .
