Went here for the first time today and ordered three dish with rice for friends and myself but when i got home, i found out they only gave me one rice so we had to share a tiny portion of rice. Other than that food was ok.
Love this place. So thankful to have a Filipino restaurant close to where I live. Food is great and the workers are always super friendly.
I went in craving lumpia around 3pm and the lady at the register said they were completely out. How can you be sold out of lumpia at 3 and not make more when you’re open until 7? I settled for the pancit and it was flavorful but the pork was mostly fat which is why this review gets 3 stars. The lady at the register seemed rude and she wasn’t wearing her mask properly (it was under her chin) and kept touching her face while handling food. Maybe if they had lumpia I’d give it another chance but I really wasn’t impressed with the customer service.
Got Lechon kawali, adobo plate and pork sinigang. All was hot, fresh and tasty. The pork sinigang was especially delicious, full of veggies and pieces of meat.
Went for lunch on 30 NOV. Very quiet, only one table occupied and no line. I specifically went to scratch my Pancit Bihon fix. Ended up ordering the small plate that consisted of Chicken Adobo and Pancit Bihon instead of rice. What an odd contrast those selections were. The Pancit by itself was nice. Noodles may have been cooked a little too soft, but the flavors saved it. I added a little condiment container of the garlic vinegar sauce that made me think of some old school Pancit Bihon. I think the Pancit would have benefitted from just a touch more sauteed cabbage and veg.The chicken adobo on the other hand was a disappointment. This was easily the second toughest pieces of chicken I have had. The portion sizes were fine with 4 large chunck of chopped chicken thigh as was the overall flavor of the adobo. To be fair, I made and served myself the toughest piece of chicken by purchasing a whole "retired egg layer" from H Mart on the mainland and tried to made a slow baked chicken. These toughness of these chopped chicken thighs reminded me of a retired egg layer. The toughness of the chicken could be a one off fluke or could be the result of short cuts in preparation. I'd hate to think that the feral chickens around Kaneohe come here to retire.Regardless, the flavors were good so will probably be back again at some point for the Pancit and maybe better luck with another item.Cashier/service was adequate, did not notice any signs of a dirty restaurant and not there long enough to see if they followed any COVID protocols for guests,
My niece found a cockroach in the bottom of her mung beans. Will never eat here again.
Good homemade Filipino and American food and dessert. Food is delicious
First time in Hawaii and craving for Pampanga Cuisine and was deceived by the name. The table were dirty and bugs flying around. Would not come back here again.
Awesome food and nice portions! Thank you!
