Some of the best ahi hand rolls and THE best poke bowl on island. Masa and Joyce has become a staple for musubi and hand roll stops. I haven't had an item on the menu I didn't enjoy!I am very happy to see they have gotten rid of their styrofoam containers and now use a more sustainable alternative! They are also more than happy to serve in your own containers if you bring them.
Food is good… that is if you can get it. Obsessed with their California rolls! As other reviews have said, you have to get there early or everything sells out. You also have to catch them when they’re randomly open. Giving 3 stars due to the lack of dependability in their business hours. The intermittent closures are FAR too frequent.. every time I make the effort to come out the place is closed (it’s happened about 5 times). Closed January 5th-10th is the latest.UPDATE: lessened from 3 to 2 stars. Now they’re closed through the 12th. I’ve watched 4 people walk up and turnaround while editing my review. I understand things happen but you’d think a company in business this long would have it more together. Another lunch break wasted.
Great diverse menu and conveniently walking distance for me. Organized well to get customers in and out fast. Friendly staff. Food is top line delicious esp. their fresh Ahi. Great place to come regularly, I mourn when they close to take vacation days.
If you get there early food such as shrimp tempura still crispy, if not soggy and oily.Fresh fish still good as ever.
Workers are so nice, patient, and thorough. The squid lu'au may not be for everyone (more like a pudding than other places') but everything is tasty and served quickly. No regrets!
Delicious wasabi ahi hand cone. Not too spicy and very flavorful. The kids loved the spam and hot dog musubis. Friendly and clean. At 12 PM, selection was more sparse, but that's to be expected.
Great Mom-n-Pop store. Their laulaus are moist and tasty, and their poi is not overly diluted with water. My go to place for a great home cooked take out meal.
Everything was so so good. Too many items to choose from. Excellent customer service. Fast and efficient. Can't wait to visit again. Mahalo plenty!!
