We went to dinner on a Friday night, group of 5 included 2 children. No waiting for a table. Service & food was excellent. Burger and chicken sandwiches were large and came with chips or salad; we probably could have split one and been full. Kids menu included things like burger, chicken fingers, hot dog and fries.
The steak was not as well cooked as I asked for yet it lacked any flavor. The rice wasn’t very good but it wasn’t bad. The salad was great in the other hand. My buddy got the burger and fries and said it was good. The fries did taste very good. For this price I would’ve gone anywhere else because the quality of food just wasn’t there unfortunately. The servers did well though and the atmosphere was very welcoming and open.
Very nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. We both ordered burgers (that actually come with fries for no extra $) and they were excellent. We loved this place. I wanted to try the wings but uh…that’s an astronomical price!
Price are reasonable. Food Portions are huge and tasty. Employee were Friendly and Knowledgeable.
First time at The Shack Kailua. Good burgers and excellent fries!! Nice to sit out on the lanai. Definitely be going back to taste the rest of the menu.
The attitude of our waitress stunk. Product of the food served was inferior. In fact it was "downright" terrible. When it was mentioned she copped an attitude. I requested a fair exchange which she rejected. The amount requested was 7.50 on a 50 bill. Very reasonable in my opinion. I refused to pay and they called in the local cop. Wow watch out not a good place to go to. BUYER BEWARE!
Let me start with the servers... Autumn and Briana were great. Attentive and pleasant. That's where it ended.The chicken wings were drenched in grease and hot sauce .. Not the tasty kind.My spicy, fried, chicken sandwich was drenched and soggy in the same sauce. I ate 1/4 of it and left the rest.We asked for fried onion rings and received luke warm fries. I asked for a Old Fashion and recieved a Manhattan (a bad one!).The whole experience was like if this was their first week open. Unfortunately, it was not. The local, open, sports like vibe is here for sure. If you come, order a beer only and enjoy the ambiance... Anything beyond that is a great disappointment.
What a fun place to watch a game! Atmosphere was upbeat and staff, owners & fellow patrons were friendly and fun. Plenty of TVs. Greta recommended the wings and told no lies. They were fabulous! Highly recommend this place.
This is one of my favorite places to get a great burger. I started coming here in the early 90's and it's still a great place to hang out. The best part is, you still order off a menu and get great service from the staff. Just like the days before covid.
I live on the big island but whenever I get to Oahu I try get to the shack to nosh the the wings, Uncle Scott has the best recipe!Another thing the shack has is Guinness on tap! As well as many top-shelf Liquors of course, all served up by an attentive staff that know their clients.The bar has outdoor seating as well as indoor and there are plenty TVs with satellite service to catch that special game you wanted to watch.
