The service was really good as usual but it seems like the quality control on their ingredients went down. I ordered the El Mariachi burrito and about 30% of the pork filling was pure fat. The photo shows an almost 2"*2" cube of pure fat. You can see some of the other fat in the background. Unfortunately, I swallowed a couple large pieces before I figured it out. This is one of our favorite places on the island but we haven't been there in a while. We're hoping it's just a one-off.

OMG! I had the fajitas! So delicious. We were a table of 8 and EVERYONE loved what they ordered. The wait staff was great! This is not a chain, the owner has been in business for over 20 years and he knows how to keep the customers coming. Ambiance perfect! We went on a Wednesday and the joint was rockin'! I will add this place to my itinerary every time I go to Oahu!! 10 stars, guys.

Although this is a little more expensive than average Mexican food, it's a average price for anything in Hawaii. The menudo is very tasty and the margaritas are interesting. If you're looking for good Mexican food on Kailua, this is the place to go.

This place had a great atmosphere! Service was wonderful. Everything came out piping hot and perfectly delicious. I highly recommend the Chile Relleno. The salsa that is served among tortilla chips, tasted like spicy marinara sauce. Would’ve been great on a pizza.

Let me preface by saying I've lived in AZ, so my standards for Mexican food are really high. I wasn't a fan of their salsa that's served with the chips. Seems like the red salsa contains tomato sauce, which is not the norm for salsa. However, I got a combo plate lunch with a quesadilla, enchilada, and chalupa, which also included rice and beans. It was delicious. I also liked that you could mix and match your meat choices between ground beef, shredded beef, shredded chicken, grilled chicken, and I think shredded pork.

Nice interior and top service; although it is rather lively inside, not everybody likes it so noisy.I found however the food tasted on the low end of ‘average’, and that doesn’t fit with the premium prices they take. Most Mexican restaurants are cheaper or better, or both.

Don't get the lilikoi margaritas! Tasted like cheap chemical ridden artificial flavoring. I didn't say anything to our server because my in-laws love this place (but don't drink) and by the time the server came to check on us it was too late and would've been awkward.Enchilada sauce, rice, and frijoles are not vegetarian so it's a very limiting menu but at least the server was knowledgeable and helped me order something that fit my needs.

I dined at Mexico Lindo 4 times before writing this review. The first 3 times were great. The food was tasty, the margaritas were delicious, and overall it was a good dining experience. I recently visited again (4th visit) and was told that it would be an hour and a half wait for three people, when there were two open tables outside. First red flag. I asked again and the hostess suddenly changed her story and said we could now sit outside at one of the open tables. We sat, figured out what we wanted, and ordered. One of my guests got the Grande Burrito and the other got the Tres Amigos with Kalua pork and ground beef. The grande burrito came out very salty so we asked the waitress if we could switch it out for another Cali burrito, and the tres amigos also came out salty so we asked to switch it for chicken tacos. When the Cali burrito came out, the steak was even saltier than the meat in the grande burrito! I tried one piece of the steak and it was unbearably salty. I honestly should have sent the burrito back to the kitchen since I didn’t enjoy it but we ended up paying for it. The kitchen had two opportunities to make the dish and completely blew it each time. This place is known for its margaritas, not for its food. As much as I enjoyed the variety of margaritas, I was incredibly disappointed by this last visit and will not be coming back.
