We always feel welcome, staff can answer questions about everything. On top of all that, everything we've tried is delicious. Today, we had the Truffle Gnocchi & the Dover Sole Fish and Chips, yum yum.

Peaceful spot to eat, drink, relax in the middle of the day. Nice selection of food and beverage items to choose from. Friendly wait help.

We went for our anniversary dinner and had a wonderful time. The service was outstanding! Extremely friendly and professional staff. The food was delicious! Ordered based on the recommendations of the servers and loved everything! They even gave us a special complimentary dessert for our anniversary! Highly recommend!

Customer service and hospitality needs improvement definitely. We asked the hostess if we could be seated in the shade as it was not busy and plenty of different seating options were empty and she replied " that section was just cleaned for dinner and is unavailable " I was hungry so I didn't say anything. Never been told I couldn't have more favorable seating in a place that was almost empty. This place has decent food but the staff needs a pick me upper and some enthusiasm. We were rushed to order and reminded that lunch was soon ending. Over priced food for understated dishes. Hire people with personality.

Outstanding service especially Christina. Great atmosphere and really good wine. Neat kids menu also

Hospitality was lacking. There was a gentleman there who want even a waiter...(not at the receiving line). He really made people feel welcome. The rest of theexperience was a lot of short interactions. We had to find someone to take our order. The food was pretty good. The braised short ribs a little salty; the fried mushrooms just right. We expected a little more. Wejust came from the Herringbone restaurant at the International market in Honolulu. The Herringbone was phenomenal in retrospect.

This was the first time that I was disappointed with my dining experience at a Roy’s restaurant since the original Roy’s opened in 1978! The appetizer of portabello mushrooms and the beet salad were very good; however, my main entree with Duck & vegetables was difficult to eat and not tasty. The duck was not tender and had an unappetizing layer of fat on it. Our server did not charge us for the duck, a nice gesture but disappointing nonetheless. The ambiance was cold and sterile and the staff started clearing tables and preparing to close the restaurant while we were in the middle of our meal. We will not be Goen here again.

I went to Goen wanting to like the restaurant, but I was very much underwhelmed. I had gotten an email for the sushi tasting menu only to be told they were sold out. It felt like it was a bait-and-switch gimmick. Then the food we ordered was just like the food served at Roy’s - with a lesser quality of service and still the Roy’s prices. The outside tables were nice and Anna, the hostess, did spectacular. Other than that, it wasn’t worth the value. If I were Roy Yamaguchi, I would reassess Goen, before putting his name on it. This place was a solid 3 stars. It was worth going once, but not again.

The Salmon and the eggplant appetizers were very delicious. The overall menu offerings were very good. On the day I dined there, ordered the sushi with crab and salmon, but the next day experience some stomach discomfort. Since my sister and I were the only ones to share the sushi roll, we determined something went wrong with the sushi. All the other dishes were shared by others at the table, no one reported any ill effects the next day. Although the sushi roll was delicious, be cautious when preparing. We will be back...
