What can I say but out of this world! This place was fantastic from the time we met Lina at the telephone booth to the sit down at the table with Merit. The full staff of Rae, Clark And Nico were amazing. Merit had such a great sense of humor and was extremely knowledgeable on everything on the menu. When recommended drinks, Merit definitely lived up to his named and earned a Merit for his knowledge. The drinks and the food was pristine, never had anything better. This place was amazing in every aspect. Professional and very top notch staff. The food was divine and definitely worth every penny.

What an incredible experience! You will want to be ready to pay for the quality of the experience as well. We have been here twice and each time the bill for a couple was $300+. Yet, the food, ambiance, and service are well worth it. This is a great special occasion spot too. Last night had a live saxophone player as well. I hope to go back soon!
I started off with ordering a Caviar bump, which came with 1oz of yellow Chartreuse.$30, it says its with the bartender, but it was with both and my pour was 1oz while the bartenders obviously had 3oz for themselves. Kinda lame! Cmon guys!Then ordered 3 drinks which were not balanced, lacked any kind of complexity, and quite frankly, I wouldn't order again.The Wagyu was trifle and didn't peak my taste buds one bit, while the only decent dish was a Mac and Cheese, which tasted like it velveta with bread crumbs.The seating was way to close, leaving no room to enter or exit. "Sorry to the bar guest, I elbowed maybe 12x..All in all, I felt like I was always being upsold, and the bartenders pushed the Caviar bump too heavily, probably because they were included.I was not impressed, but then again it's in the side room of a pub! Do better Gaslamp, do better!
Gave this place a 3 star. The staff could have done better. Unprofessional. The photos on the website does a great job of making it look like a classy joint when it's actually in the back of a raunchy pub. The food was good very good but it was served cold. It was okay but for 600.00 for 3 ppl totally not worth it. Go to the Blind Ox instead. Kinda cheesey and disappointing.
Perfect atmosphere and food!
Hidden gem in basically in plain sight, close to the heart of Kailua town center. The room is lit primarily by these gas lamps which adds to the vibe of being an intimate private gathering spot. The staff is friendly and attentive and the menu tastes even better than the beautifully written descriptions! The drinks have a wide variety of ingredients and can be customized to fit your tastes. Make your reservations well in advance
A wonderful experience if you have a small party and large budget. This place has done an amazing job with the atmosphere and truly makes for an amazing memorable adventure. The food is pricy but didn't disappoint. Hawaii is full of amazing food but presentation and being unique are the challenge. Gaslamp doesn't disappoint. Even if just coming for drinks and apps, the drinks are amazing and totally unique! Very hard to standout in the drink department but they do. Everything is delicious and a talking point in its self.
Beautiful and delicious! I had the dealer’s choice for each of my drinks and I was never disappointed. The appetizers and into the entrees were worth the money. Cool little spot and the musician actually joined in with us singing happy birthday with the saxophone.
Small, hidden and tucked away inside the Kailua Tavern Bar and Grill. The waitstaff were all very courteous and provided prompt service. The bartenders Clark and Nico were true professionals and all the drinks were expertly crafted. Food was great and the scallops were cooked to perfection. The Siberian caviar was icing on the cake. Highly recommend and will definitely be back.
