Great place for lunch or dinner. You stand in a fast moving line to order and then they bring it to your table. Very friendly staff. Good food. Very cool atmosphere. A fun place to eat.
I have to be honest, I don’t know what I expected, but it wasn’t this. The branding is on point. The place is very hip and modern on the inside, but that’s about all I can say that’s nice. Like everything in Hawaii, we found it to be super expensive. When the food arrived, it looked good, but the chicken tender batter was horrible. It was very thick and they fried it too quickly at too high of a temperature. It made for a dry tender and an unpleasantly crunchy and hard exterior. It just wasn’t good. Mac and cheese was ok.
AWESOME SPOT!!!! The tenders, Mac n cheese + the Willie’s Hot Sauce are fantastic. You just order and seat your self. Service is super quick and everyone is super friendly. Will be back!
We are so glad we discovered Willie’s Hot Chicken! Having lived in Nashville we are always excited about trying hot chicken in other places. Of course no one ever does it quite as well as Nashville does but I will say Willie’s surprisingly is up to par! Nice ambiance and friendly staff. It was quite busy on the Sunday night but we were able to find a table inside.
Great chicken, local beers, chill friendly staff, lots of locals. We stopped here after doing the Kona Brewing brewery tour. We got a quarter (leg) and some tenders. Great food, chicken hit the spot, served with white bread to soak up that grease, and a side (we got potato salad, mac n cheese, coleslaw, and then for fun we got extra pickles). Super yummy and filling. Staff were all very friendly and warm - happy to recommend their favorites. Great selection of local beers - including Kona and Ola (gotta try the Ola Dragonfruit Cider - great sour cider!)
This place wasn't far from our hotel, my wife ate here twice I had it once. This chicken is so good. We had the hot, and felt it was the perfect level of heat. I ordered the leg combo and the piece of chicken was on the smaller side when I got it, the staff seemed to have noticed because they added a single tender at no charge. I thought this was awesome considering I hadn't asked, they just wanted to do the right thing. Will definitely be back next time we are in town. Also appeared to get good traffic from the locals.
Great food and music. Had the Sweet Hawaiian chicken tenders and a waffle. it was delicious.

Wow! Didn’t know what to expect!! This place is great! Food is fantastic! Soooo taste! Mac and cheese is great! The sweet potato fries were the best I have ever had! ?? staff is friendly and helpful! I will be back! Party atmosphere! Pretty loud, if you want a quiet place, probably don’t want to go here, but it is a fun hangout, with great food! 10 stars!!
I gotta say, great surprise. Was actually waiting for Umekes to open and just wandered over. Very friendly staff invited me to take a look. Brah! Nice cozy bar, good draft selections, big screens, pretty interesting menu. Now the food, pretty dang good chix. I got the sweet Hawaiian sauce too. Really different but good. I'd say it rivals the new Korean BBQ place that sells sandwiches and plates on Oahu, but in a different way. They're actually both good. But the friendly staff, that's what drew me in. Food is a quick fix and ono. One thing I noticed in my short stop, lotta locals like this place. Try 'em! ??✌️
