Unlike other "shave ice", the Hawaiian shave ice comes out smooth and fine. It is very hard to find in the continental US. This restaurant offers the Hawaiian shave ice with many local Hawiian flavors with a smooth texture that you come to expect and yearn. The downside is that because of its popularity, there seems to be always people waiting in line.
Definitely the best shave ice in town. This is the first time that I had been to an ululanis that had an indoor space and it was awesome. The Hawaiian Rainbow, I believe is what it’s called, is awesome, would definitely recommend.

Pretty average artificial flavors syrup. Hubby ordered their special of the day with Jose Cuervo tequila, calamancis juice, lihing mui mango flavors syrups and lihing mui drizzle. Kids ordered their usual. The ice is fine like snow and alcohol is legit, but that's about it with the recommendations. Staffs are friendly. No comparison to Uncle Clay on Oahu...hands down the very best and 100% real fruits syrups! Wished Uncle Clay would have a store on Big island! No repeat for us. Will try out some other places to find a good one same as Uncle Clay.
Went here three times during our time in Kailua-Kona. Was a little bit of a let down compared to our experience with one of their Maui locations. The shave ice was just as good, but they seemed short-staffed every time we were there so the waits were pretty long even though it wasn't especially busy. They were also unexpectedly closed for a couple of days of our trip for "maintenance."
No need for ice cream. The ice cap is better on this creation. So many flavors available. Ice is perfect consistency. Staff friendly ass they efficiently got thru their customer line. We'll be back ?
I loved it here! They give you a choice of up to 3 flavors along with other toppings/add-ins. Unlike other reviews, I didn’t find it to be too sweet. I got the passion fruit and vanilla with vanilla ice cream and a snow cap. I guess if you’re looking for a watered snowball/shaved ice, this place isn’t for you? This place packs in the flavor for sure. Back home, I’d have to ask for extra flavor/juice just to get what I got here. I highly recommend this place!
Don't waste your time visiting other shave ice locations. I don't think you can beat this place. Their flavors are actually FLAVORFUL! Not just colors on ice. This is a must do on my next trip to Kona.
Had a tasty shave ice with macadamia nuts ice cream + azuki beans + coffee/chocolate/green tea flavors.
This is an unprofessional storefront. We were turned away at the door after standing in line for about 15 minutes. They closed their store 30 minutes early despite having customers in line waiting to purchase a shaved ice. With so many other shaved ice options on the island, I don’t recommend this amateur operation.
