My boyfriend and I went there for our 4 year anniversary and we loved it! First, the ambiance is so peaceful. We weren’t able to get a reservation at sunset so it was dark by the time we sat down but it was still very beautiful. I ordered the Moscow mule which was delicious, I definitely recommend! We loved their bread and butter. They whip their butter so it’s nice and fluffy. We got the spicy ahi roll as an app and it was alright, nothing super exciting about it so probably wouldn’t get it again. I ordered the Kanpachi fish n had the waitress suggest a good white wine to pair with it. She recommended the Sauvignon blanc which was perfect! The fish itself was so yummy and melts in your mouth. My bf got the ny steak w/ kimchee friend rice and that was very delicious. For dessert, we got the chocolate soufflé and paired it with a pinot which was so amazing. I will definitely go back. Our waitress was very attentive and had great suggestions.

My wife and I celebrated our 20th Anniversary on the Big Island and wanted to experience the best the island had to offer. Ulu Ocean Grille did not disappoint! Here is a summary of our dinner: We thoroughly enjoyed the Ebi Tempura roll - (it was good enough that we have encouraged several family members to join us at Ulu this evening for sushi and dinner) For our entrées we had the Mahi Mahi and the Spicy Crab Noodles. Both were perfectly prepared, very flavorful, and the presentation was perfect. For dessert, we couldn't decide between the chocolate or vanilla (the flavor of the evening) soufflé, so we got one of each (you only celebrate 20 years once!). Again, perfectly prepared and presented and was thoroughly enjoyed. And I can't overstate how excellent the service was. The staff went out of their way to make the experience memorable. It was the best dining experience I have ever had and I don't expect to top it soon, unless they outdo themselves when we return this evening. Ulu & Four Seasons Resort - well done!

Ordered the Calamari and Spicy Crab Noodles, noodles were over cooked and had some of the cartilage from the crab in my dish and calamari was over cooked. Also, the table next to us had two children who puked on the floor. Fair experience, service was very polite.

Honeymoon. Our waitress Bianca hit it out of the park with her knowledge of everything on the table and her kindness

Absolutely gorgeous and serene setting. Service was friendly and impeccable. The sushi was the best we have eaten. The fish was amazing. It’s pricey but worth every penny.

Flies are unbearable. Food, excellent. Location, excellent. Service, good. Cost, overpriced. When a fly lands in your wine, you should pour a full replacement glass and do so expediently. I don’t care to drink wine with dessert, and at $40/gl. I will drink it all. Lastly, if you’re not a guest at the hotel, one is clearly treated differently.

One of the nicest dining experiences I have ever had. Our server was so knowledgeable and the ambiance was spectacular.

Extremely disappointing. I gave 2 stars only because our waitress was great and had to cover for poor job by the sushi chef. $500 for two adults and 2 kids plus tip. $25 for California roll! I would not mind if we didn’t have to wait for an hour for our sushi order. The rice was cold!!! I accept paying premium for the view etc as long as I get my sushi right. This was just disrespectful to bring sushi with cold rice and assume that we wouldn’t notice!! This sushi chef wouldn’t last in LA for a month. Again, the waitress was fantastic and super calm and defused the tension. The only highlight of the evening was desert - the restaurant has a top pastry chef. We tried the four available deserts and all of them were just perfect!

Awful service. We were forgotten about after the appetizers arrived. Food took forever.
