What a relaxed and welcoming place this is to enjoy a sweet treat! I love everything they've done with this place, including the welcoming and affirming messages. The whimsical menus and even a plant named Larry. Best of all are the shakes made with plant-based milk. I have the ube blueberry and they put whipped coconut on top and I've got to say that was absolutely wonderful! Really makes me wish I could live on this island just to come visit again and again.
What an incredible dairy-free ice cream shop that everyone will enjoy! We stopped here after eating a great dinner at their attached vegan restaurant. I picked up a sundae with Pink Aloha ice cream, fresh papaya, and passion fruit drizzle. 10/10 would recommend.
Great maple & real pecans on a tasteless rubber ring Deceptive clerk when questioned about the ingredients Straight lied & said it contains butter. I have no need to whip out a definition for BUTTER .
Mindblowingly good dairy free ice cream. Got the blueberry ube with ube crunch and caramel sauce and whipped cream, and it was to die for! Best vegan ice cream I’ve ever had, hands down. It’s only been a day and I want to go back!

Amazing macadamia nut based soft serve ice cream. Unique and delicious! Have lunch or dinner at the attached cafe and then a special dessert… or maybe the other way around!!!
Sweet Journey Soft Serve ice cream is just AMAZING! Literally the best ice cream I have tasted so far during my Hawai’i trip. The ice cream is organic and made of fresh and local fruits or vanilla beans as well as organic local macadamia nuts. I have had the flavors blueberry and vanilla and they both have been so delicious and as a topping you can choose nice fresh fruits. The iceman Nick was the BEST, always had a smile, very nice and fun to chat with! Amazing service, which you don’t find often! If you are in the area of Kailua-Kona, definitely grab some of sweet journeys ice cream. You will not regret it and on top of that you also support local organic farmers!!! Just amazing ?
If you love delicious and super healthy food that is presented well in a very relaxed environment then this is the place for you. The place is Epic.
The customer service was phenomenal! We showed up a little later on a Friday night and they were out of a couple ingredients. The guy in front of us wasn’t being rude but he was being a real debbie downer Squidward about the situation. The young lady at the counter could not have been friendlier or more helpful when dealing with him and ourselves. I had never tried ube before and she recommended the blueberry ube with ube chunks and hibiscus drizzle. My fiancé got the passion fruit / dragon fruit with papaya chunks with hibiscus drizzle. Both of them were the perfect treat to end our day. If you are on the island it would be a mistake not to stop there!
