Wow, just WOW! Incredible experience. The chef/owner is a master of his craft.
The food here is AMAZING! I started with the Miso soup and cold house sake. The miso flavor was the best I have had. The saki was on par with the miso. The sashmi was wonderful. Nice cuts and the accompanying vegetables paired beautifully. The Wasabi was very tasty and added to the flavorful experience. Next up was the spicy tuna roll. The appearance of the roll was artful. The flavor surpassed the appearance. Last up was the spider roll. Once again, the appearance was a work of art. The flavor and textures were a delight! The meal concluded with strawberries + Whipped cream with a hint of chocolate sauce. This was a perfect end to a beautiful meal. The whole experience was wonderful! If you can get a reservation, take whatever they have available! When I'm I Kona again, I'm coming back!
This quaint restaurant is run by husband and wife with many decades of experience. The food was quite spectacular and for what you get, incredible value. Make sure to call ahead for reservations. The restaurant only has 3 tables. We managed to get a reservation same day.

Some of the best sushi I've had.. The octopus, sea urchin, and even wasabi were some of the freshest I've tasted. They went above and beyond to celebrate a special occasion in our group at the last minute too.I didn't realize there were only 4 tables in the restaurant. Felt very personal, and curated. The food and service outperforms the venue. 5/5 do recommend.
We came to Seiji’s for a birthday dinner and loved the Omakase and friendly, intimate service. It’s a small restaurant, so reservations are probably best to guarantee a spot. Seiji and his wife cooked and served us. I loved that they featured local ingredients into their dishes. We’d definitely return!
We visited this evening while on vacation. It was a one of a kind dining experience-incredibly fresh sushi, personal touch, overall a wonderful dinner. Delightful owners!
I don’t normally give 5 stars on my reviews but I wish there is a 6 stars review that I can give Seiji. This is truly a hidden GEM off of the beaten path. We were so lucky that we could make reservation for the next evening. The first time we got turned away.So folks, do make reservation wayyyy ahead before you even leave town. They only serve no more than 10 guests per evening, 5:30pm, 6:30 and 7:30pm.So you really have the full chef’s attention to create phenomenal sushi dining experience for you. I hardly eat raw seafood but Seiji made it so amazingly delicious. Everything was so exquisitely prepared by him.
Excellent sushi! An intimate, hole in the wall hidden gem!My chirashi bowl was amazing! We will definitely keep coming back here!
What an experience! There were only 3 tables served in an intimate setting, by a truly masterful and experienced chef. Each course was truly spectacular. Tucked away, you don't have an ocean front view - but the food was the best of any we had on the island for a week!
