Oh. My. Goodness.Delicious and really hits the spot on a hot day. The staff was super friendly and quick to offer recommendations and answer any questions. Had we tried this sooner in our trip, probably would have hit it every day ?Parking can be tricky in this area; I would recommend coming on foot if you are staying close enough to do so.
I chose watermelon shave ice with soft serve vanilla inside. What diet?? LOL It was refreshing as the day was warming up. No tables inside and most people sat outside on wall or took it to go during walk like I did.
The best shave ice in Kona, and no, they are not all the same. These guys have a huge variety of flavors and toppings and are generous with the flavoring syrups. Staff is pleasant to interact with. My go-to place for shave ice!
Shave ice was not good. Ice was quite coarsely grated. The flavor syrups tasted artificial and bottom part of the cup did not have any flavoring.
We got three different shaved ices from here, and they were absolutely delicious! I got Pina colada with Kona coffee ice cream in the middle, and it was so good. I wish we had something like this back home!

My husband and I were able to treat ourselves to this must-eat shaved ice spot before we left Kona in August. I must say, finding parking when you are unfamiliar with the area was difficult which is why it took so long for us to visit. I'd suggest opening google maps and pinning the location appropriately labeled "public parking" on Likana Lane (off Kuakini HWY) which is within walking distance before you go.My husband was excited to get the giant advertised shaved ice with ice cream inside and while that was good...I would opt for just a scoop or two of the local ice cream they sell instead. The Kona Mudpie was incredibly smooth and delicious! It brought pure joy to eat.
Super tasty! The lychee was the best flavor! I also got Kona Crunch as the ice cream inside and that was super good too!
Great little place, have been stopping here for years & was glad to see Covid did not take it out!
