Fantastic Thai Food and great portions for a reasonable price. The braised oxtail with kimchi fried rice was full of savory flavor and solid fried rice with egg, vegetables and char'd flavor but not greasy. Solid place to get your Thai food fix! We'll be back.
The atmosphere is great, it is very well decorated. The crunchy spring rolls came out very hot (temperature) and were already cut in half (great for sharing). The chicken Pad Thai and chicken drunken noodles were also very good.
excellent food - can't miss the pepper shrimp with the #4 sauce! have eaten here many times and will go back again!
I'm Thai so finding a place that is authentic is hard, especially when you cook the same dishes yourself. This place was AMAZING! Absolutely hit the spot and was authentic. We will definitely be heading back before we go home.
Royal Thai was a delicious dinner & great service with wonderful ambiance! Their garlic stir-fry w/shrimp, dumpling soup & crunchy spring rolls were all fresh and more than enough food for two. Dessert of fried ice cream was a great way to top off this evening. Really hard working & kind staff We will return during our Kona vacation.
Sally can't do dining inside the restaurant at this time. They inform me that they're having difficulty finding enough employees to be able to do the inside dining but they do allow you to sit outside. The food is okay but nothing to write home about. I would go again but I don't have high or low expectations. It just seemed kind of average to me.
We ordered the veggie delight, spring rolls rice noodles/peanut sauce. The food was amazing, the staff was friendly, and we had an amazing experience. The best Thai food both of us have ever had.
We had take-out from Royal Thai Cafe twice while staying on Hawaii this winter. The staff were friendly, helpful, and the food was ready for pickup as promised. Both meals were excellent and we will definitely go back to Royal Thai on our next visit.
One of our favorite restaurants!AND it is reasonably priced!Good service. We recently got some of our favorites as takeout:. Basil rolls, chicken Satay (love their peanut, sweet Chile and cucumber dipping sauces) and my personal favorite :"the royal flush" (something like that) with shrimp and scallops and was as good as ever. We miss the staff in the restaurant, though.Their Mango sticky rice is fabulous.Somebody else said they didn't think it was " Thai-ey" enough for the. That's interesting. They have a picture of the Thai royals. What does it take?? I have never been to Thailand, but I know what I like!
Unfortunately a tad disappointing. The Pad Thai was very dry and did not have a lot of flavor. It was sad because it smelled so good in the car. The curry was very coconut-ey and did not have a traditional Thai currty flavor. The veggies didn't seem very fresh and the spring rolls were very greasy. Overall, it was edible and the staff was nice, but I wouldn't recommend (at least takeout). Maybe eating in is much better than take out.
