We all loved the sandwiches we ordered! Doing the popcorn bar instead of chips was also super fun and I highly recommend. A bowl is very easily split between like four people. There's some New Orleans touches there and it certainly shows in the food as well. Decent selection of local brews for people who want to enjoy a beer from the island with their sandwich. Quick and great service even though they were slammed with online orders for lunch-rush!
I happen to be in the strip mall. Several of my Airbnb guests recommended it so I stopped in to take home a Reuben. It was absolutely delicious. They were also very kind to my golden retriever I will be back and I will recommend to my guests
Every sandwich comes with a side of fresh popped popcorn instead of chips. The portions were generous and the service was quick and experienced. It was a great place to get lunch and would have worked great as take out for a day trip.
Went for a salad--they were huge so settled for the ample half portion. Delicious. Known for their selection of great sandwiches. Loved the atmosphere and music playing. Quick to get our lunch. Will return!

We stopped here on our last day on the Big Island for lunch. We wished we found it earlier. The food was delicious! The service was friendly and quick. They have a great menu with plenty of options. If we ever make it back to the Big Island, we'll be back for sure!
I need to know how their pickles are made and how they are so crunchy delicious. I’ve never had a Rueben sandwich as delicious as the Turkey Reuben I had here today. My husbands sandwich was equally as bomb tasty. I love that the sandwiches were as easy to eat as they were delicious b/c some places pile them too high to bite into or use too much sauce or too hard of bread. These sandwiches were on perfectly toasted breads and had just the right amount of dressing etc. that’s really a crucial and underrated step in the art of sandwich and Poi Dog really mastered this on a Picasso level. The vibes here are awesome as well. The meaning behind the name of the restaurant makes this overall a slam dunk of Kona eating experience.
Food was good but wait was pretty long considering we only cold sandwiches and a salad and it was not busy. Still a nice place to grab some food and a couple of brews to go and I like that they give back to the community.
Our families final meal before leaving the island. Very sad moment, however it was great to visit a local eatery! A unique take on sandwiches and salads. The swag on the wall was also very cool! Recommend highly!
We stopped here to pick up a couple of salads for dinner. The salads were ready in about five minutes. There were at least ten other people in the restaurant eating. The lady that took our order was very nice. We brought our salads back to the condo to eat. They were fresh and tasty.
