Very good Mexican food and happy hour. Large portions and cooked perfectly. Service was great too. Will definitely eat here again!

My family and I stumbled upon this restaurant our 2nd day on the Island. We sat on the patio 2nd floor overlooking the streets of Kona. The food was legit Mexican, service was friendly and efficient. I would go back our next trip!
Best spot in kona for Mexican food and margaritas so many different flavors all delicious! Air conditioned inside with plenty of tables, and outside dining with an amazing view! Ellie was our server and gave us some of the best service I have ever received in kona!!!

We were in the mood for Mexican and took a chance on Pancho and Lefty's (some pretty negative reviews for service). Yes, our food took a while to arrive, but our servers were attentive and kept our water glasses full and salsa replenished. My nachos were a solid choice, and my partner's cheese and chile filled chicken was also good. The signature margarita was pretty watery, would not recommend. Because of its downtown location, I'd recommend not going when there is a cruise ship in port, because it will probably be really crowded.
This restaurant is awesome! Fresh food, and great service. Esma was our waitress and treated us like family, totally on it- reloading chips and salsa and making sure we always had what we needed. If you're in the mood for Mexican food I highly recommend ?
My wife and I were craving some real basic Mexican food and this place was great. We sat outdoor overlooking the street (great people watching) and we parked out behind the restaurant but had to pay $25 for two hours, so try to find street parking if you can. This place was perfect, we sat down for happy hour which had $5 margaritas and $9 street tacos Al pastor (x3) and everything was great. My wife had the enchiladas rancheros and I also ordered tamales and the queso. Again everything was satisfying as it could be. Will be coming back here this week!
Service was not very good. There was 3 of us at the table and no offer of refill of our chips/salsa. Had to wait forever for our drinks. All could be forgiven if the food was really good. Sadly it was not. Very average and bland. Mexican food comparable to Taco Bell at over twice the price. Sorry….cannot recommend this place. Two ?
