Laverne's was fantastic. The food was delicious. The service was great. The views...Wow. Having dinner oceanside and eating great food - what more could you ask?
Loved this place. Music, pool table, great bar vibe. The bartender was super cool. We had a great time! Cold cold drinks
We have been in Kona 5 times over 19 years and always like to have breakfast or lunch at Laverne's. The food is great, the service outstanding. I recommend their pulled pork "sub." Not like what you think of when you think of a sub sandwich. Get ready for a surprise. Super delicious!

Very nice experience for late night pious with friends, very nice vibes live music. Food is delicious same as cocktails. There’s not that many places around Kona that’s opens until late night. They have a big parking area in the back, there is also security by the doors.
Considering other places around were an hour wait, this place got us seated right away and although there was only 1 server i saw, didnt wait too long for anything. Personally ordered the Kalua Pork Plate which was delicious and filling. Drinks were cold, refreshing, and good. It was Monday evening and they had open mic for stand up comedy. Sad that i didnt know about it in advance to have time to prepare a bit. Fun extra for guests
Online menu doesn’t match the actual menu. Food was fine and service solid. Nice first floor balcony views of the water.
Da’ [email protected](k, just happened?!?! The place looked very promising at first and our bartender came up to us to take our drink orders which we thought was pretty nice. Then, around 10:30pm, us and a few other groups at the bar were yelled at to chug our drinks and leave! (Website said they closed at 2:00 am). Within a few minutes later as we were chugging our drinks as instructed, two bouncers came back and angrily yelled at everyone leave and get out! As people left their drinks and tried to leave the way they came into the bar (through the front), we were all once again YELLED AT for not exiting out of the back of the bar…like we were supposed to know. As we acknowledged their rude treatment and behavior, some girl who is an employee was standing by the bouncers and yelled back “no you’re F4($!4G RUDE!” And as she CHASED some people of out the bar, she SCREAMED out “I’ll [email protected]<€!NG CUT YOUR FACE, B!¥
We stopped here on a whim to kill some time before going to the airpoirt. Nice, friendly place with decent views and prices.
