We have been drinking Peaberry Dark Roast for 7 years, it has been my family’s favorite! We recently got the Hazelnut flavored to try out, it’s so good mixing with coconut milk. We will definitely try out different flavors in the future, but the Peaberry Dark Roast is our daily need.
Not a huge fan of the pea berry coffee but it’s a cool place!! Close to the water, ample outdoor seating, and great views! They have muffins, smoothies, and other small items.
We honeymooned in Hawaii with half our time in Kona, and stopped by this shop while walking around. They have such a great variety of coffee and gifts that we bought a slew of items for ourselves and as gifts for family. When we got home and tried their coffee (beans) we were COMPLETELY blown away. We had visited a Kona farm and the coffee there was excellent, but this coffee is other worldly. The vanilla macadamia nut is my favorite, and my husband loves their dark roast. We live on the east coast of the US and continue to order coffee from them a few times per year.
Excellent kona coffee. My wife and I encountered Kona Coffee Cafe many years ago while in HI. We continue to order their amazing flavored and decaf 100% pure kona coffee multiple times per year. We haven't encountered any quite as flavorful and perfectly roasted as KCC's coffee. We will gladly continue to buy their excellent coffee!
This was one of the top two coffee shops we visited in all of Hawaii (and there were MANY!). Super yummy coffee. We were schooled in the horrors of drinking decaf from other places — our barista said Kona Coffee Cafe was the only place that used a Swiss water treatment. Not sure what that is but the coffee was awesome! Try the frappes!
Before I was in Kona, a friend had brought me a pound of Peaberry coffee from the Kona Coffee Cafe. I really liked it and looked forward to going there in person. When I went the staff were very friendly and helpful. I didn't sit at the cafe as I didn't have time but I bought a few pounds of coffee beans. I've enjoyed their Dark Roast Peaberry and their Espresso roast coffee. For my personal taste, I find for coffee I like a courser grind on the Peaberry. I've also used it in small amounts to make other non-Kona coffee I have at home better. I went to a handful of farms on Big Island. One thing is for sure is that the Kona coffees definitely have a distinct taste from the other regions. A lot of the Kona coffees are great, including this one, but the pricing is much better here. I plan on ordering again. High quality, more affordable price.
I was walking on Alii Drive and saw this coffee shop. I ordered a coffee and desert. I walk over tho the boardwalk and look at the ocean. The taste of the coffee was extraordinary! 5 out of 5 stars!
My husband and I took a stroll to Kona Coffee Cafe with low expectations. When we arrived, we were greeted by the friendliest barista, given endless samples of coffee and chocolate-covered coffee beans and left with two delicious drinks! I highly recommend the frozen blended vanilla-mac nut coffee. DELICIOUS! We left after purchasing 3 bags of coffee for others as well as a bag of chocolate-covered coffee beans (now deemed "crazy beans" in our house). And I know we will be ordering more when we run out!

My companion and I searched the island for the best coffee experience and this was it by far! We have visited several times and the staff is knowledgeable and friendly. The opportunity to sample the flavors is also top notch. We had pound bags shipped home and found this service to be timely and efficient as well. Highly recommend!!
