Best food we had on the island. We are from California and are used to fantastic Japanese food. Kenichi’s exceeds even our favorite places back home. Service was fanatic, food came out quickly, everything was absolutely delicious. what’s not to love? Highly recommend the pork ribs appetizer, spider roll, and molten cake!
I wish I had taken pictures of all of our food! Everything was absolutely exceptional. The service, sushi, and appetizers were all so good. Some of the party said it was best salmon and tuna nigiri we’ve ever had. Cannot recommend this place enough. It was more than worth the 45 minute drive from our resort!

We had omakase at the bar. Three sushi men was great work combination. Sushi and sashimi was fresh and good.

I was a bit surprised by this restaurant. Frankly, based on the location and broad menu, I was expecting rather average sushi. My expectations were exceeded.They had a good selection of fish and a number of interesting specials that weren't on the menu. Service was fast, and I give them an extra star for having real fresh wasabi (free in Japan, of course, but usually an up-charge in the States - but absolutely worth it).Based on another review here I assume our waiter was "Maverick" and he was, in fact, excellent. We will eat here again.

Each time we come to the Big Island we have many Dinners at Kenichi Pacific. Not only is the food amazing but the staff are friendly and make you feel welcomed as if you are part of their family.

This was very interesting, we would walk by this restaurant all the time and not think of trying it, but we said why not. We just went on Thursday and the service was awsome! We had a nice young man (Maverick) that knew everything about the menu. He was on Q all the time of attending to our table. We had a pleasant evening. We thought that it would be a great idea to bring my parents here and they also could enjoy as we did.Unfortunately it did not happen as well as we thought. We had made a reservation for my mother's birthday this pass Saturday. We sat at the same table that we sat on Thursday. It was nice at first. The waitress (Hayley) that helped us was not as great as the last experience. Not to sure if she was new, but she did not come by to check on us. Our night ended after almost three hours of all the waiting. She seem like it was to much for her to handle. I mention to her that we were celebrating my mom's birthday and she said ok. I guess it really did not mean much! Trust me we were not looking for anything type of handouts, just some kind of recognition.We wouldn't mind going back to this restaurant, but would request for (Maverick) to attend to our table again.
