WORST DINING EXPERIENCE IN BIG ISLAND.1. Serve is absolutely rude and full of nonsense. We ordered cold tofu. On the description, it says comes with bonito flakes but we got none. We didn’t notice it until we see our neighbors table’s dish (who came after us) has bonito flakes. When we asked the server, she came up with an excuse saying “we’re out of it”. I told her clearly the neighbor has it. Then she went to the kitchen and gave us this (See photo attached).2. Foods are outrageous expensive!! NOT WORTH the money at all!3. Servers and the staff are all incredibly rude. They treat regular customer differently. (Smile and friendly to them and gave us a cold face and HORRIBLE ATTITUDE)
Big menu, great food and awesome vegan friendly options! AND Fantastic service. We were 2 people and came in on the day of the mask mandate lift, plus there was a huge concert at the venue next door. Nonetheless, we got on the wait list and were called moments after with an available table. The lovely hostess made sure we got a table as quick as possible and was constantly making sure we are good and comfortable. For drinks we ordered hot Sake and a beer (the perfect combo) and cozy ambiance in and out. Truly a 10/10 for me.
Service was slow. We ordered 2 different boiled fish dishes but the server failed to bring us soy sauce until a different server noticed and promptly fixed that situation. The food was good but this was the first time I went to a Japanese restaurant and that didn't have soy sauce already at the table
I have no complaintsEverything was goodService was goodRaman was goodSushi was goodFried octopus was goodYumYumYumWould go back
Wow.We just walked in because Kona Browing Co. was closed early on Christmas Eve.But Shiono was the best choice for us.Sushi was awesome and Ramen was so good. Toro..just melted on my tongue.Everything was perfect on Christmas Eve.Thank you.
Very delicious ramen, roll and super fresh fish !!!
Very fresh, yummy ? dishes and sushi ? Kushi katsu set was so tasty with two different dipping sauces.
Amazing food. I am surprised by how authentic it is.- Ramen: ordered tonkotsu. arguably the best I’ve had in all Hawaii (Maui, Honolulu, and Big island). I consider it better than most of the big-name chains like Santoka in California and NYC. Soup was rich in flavor but not too salty. Noodle has great texture.- Tempura: tender shrimps inside and crispy outside. Very authentic taste.- Chirashi: fish taste fresh.
Always good Food and service.. No matter how good is the food if we don’t get good Service! We love our oysters shooters and Spicy Tuna Hand-rolls.
Fantastic tantanmen. I've eaten a lot of ramen in the US and Japan and this is pretty far up there on the list
