Dinner with a view while on vacation
We have been in Kona for a week and ate out every meal. This was the only dining experience anywhere that was not good. I had the worst Loco Moco I have ever had at any restaurant on any island. Even if cooked properly, it would not have been up to par. I ordered my eggs over easy and they were hard as a rock. My hamburger was supposed to be medium and it was way the other side of well done. The meal was cold and dry. In all it was awful! Our server did nothing other than take our order. We were so disappointed. We had high expectations from a restaurant on Open Table and had later dining hours than most of the Kona restaurants. Be careful, A-Bays looks better than it actually delivers.
Fish tacos are great! Relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff.
The server was wonderful and, when asked, shared suggestions of activities. The food was well cooked and plated beautifully.

They reused a cup for my coffee, cup said green tea on it. Was nearly boiling hot, cup was not able to hold its shape. Tasted burnt.
The fish tacos were delicious and I would definitely eat there again!
Food is good depending on what you order. Fish is great, local dishes are great! Prices can be high but not out of touch with rest of island restaurants. Great desserts as well.
Food was tasty, although the meat was a little tough. Servers were extremely attentive. Music was too loud, but our table was far enough away that it was not a problem at all. The view is great.
Our server was amazing! The food was good. And the outdoor table was great for people watching!
