Great place, especially for happy hour. Amazing views and really good food and drink at reasonable prices. I enjoyed the music selection and the views. The staff is great, especially Eric & Kahili, the bartenders.Very professional and made me feel right at home. Highly recommend.

Great view? Check.Good drinks? Check.Good food? Average.Management of facility? Poor. After waiting an hour for a table it took over another hour to even place our food order.Appetizers came out with our food.No mention of water. None delivered in 2 and a half hours. Our waiter was so busy he didn’t even have the option of coming up to our table to diffuse the situation. No mention of a understaffing or understanding of the time involved to serve the table. Just us sitting helpless hoping for some food to feed our family. As we sat there getting more and more bitter by the moment I watched multiple people who came in after us leave.I get we are on island time and that it’s hard to find help especially in a situation where being a server is hard to qualify making a living wage. That being said. It felt really bad as a customer to feel completely neglected and left to the wayside especially with how expensive our bill was.All in all. Great place to enjoy a beautiful view and a drink.I am grateful to be sitting on the coast of paradise but was hoping that the food, and service would match the destination. It’s a shame that such a wonderful place is ruined by the complete lack of qualified service.

The pasta and all the desserts where amazing. The fried fish was good, I think it was snapper. The flight needed more liquor and less juice. I'm a light weight and I got through that sober. lol

The food was delicious. Our server was great. She would trot to put orders in. The views at sundown were perfect. Loved our experience.

Had the corn & sea food chowder along with a Ceasar salad with protein: chicken. Added an on tap Lavaman to the dinner line up. The corn seafood chowder was quite good. The flavors and textures worked quite well together. The chicken Ceasars salad was tasty. The Lavaman paired beautifully with the seafood chowder. Only two seats open at the bar but NO ONE was kept waiting for a drink, refill or to order food. A great experience, will be back!

early April 2022: While in a nearby liquor store, one of their customers recommended this place to us as we were buying Mai Tai Mix to have at home with our dinner. So the next evening, that was our mission. We were with some locals who knew the secret no pay parking places and walked a short distance to the Resort for Happy Hour. I had the Classic Mai Tai, my third while on the island (I'm on a taste test for the best one between Hawaii and Honolulu). It was very good but I kept looking at the menu with that Flight of Mai Tais so my group said, let's order it.My mouth still waters at the thought of enjoying that flight again. Being from AZ, we were able to substitute and get Mai Rita and it was good too. It was hard to pick a favorite of the four. Anyway, the service and ambiance were wonderful. I'd definitely come back.

This bar offers one of a kind scenery even for Big Island standard. Finding parking to get there is a challenge but the view makes it worth the hassle. Also drinks and menus are decent. The view is better during the day than the night so prob worth visiting there during daytime than night time.

Incredible view and the 1944 Mai Tai is excellent

We dined and had Mai Thai flight there! Delicious food and Good Service! Try the upside down pineapple cake soooo delicious ?

Mai Tai’s are fantastic.
