Okay - you may say I'm crazy for giving Denny's, of all places, a 5-star rating, but hear me out. IT'S THE VIEW!!! Wow! Denny's is great, American, diner food. It's consistent everywhere you go. So, you can go to Denny's and get a great breakfast like any Denny's - but, this Denny's you get a view you cannot get anywhere else. It's breathtaking. SO, if you're just looking for fuel on your way to your next Hawaiian adventure, stop here and soak in the beauty of Hawaii as you fuel up. :-)
Slow service. Waited 10 minutes to be seated another 10 to get our order tAken. Then our order was wrong. We ordered gluten free and when the cook saw he said and I quote “They should have stayed in Maui. I also did not get my seasoned fries I ordered
After a long plane ride the day before, we wanted a big breakfast. We stopped at Dennys on a Wednesday at 6:15 a.m. We were seated right away by the window with a great view of the ocean. Service was great and we both ordered a Grand Slam breakfast. The food was served hot and it was very good. We actually went back another day because it was so good.
When I arrived on shift was a manager that poured subpar soup and claimed to not know how it came to be, a falling asleep buser, an overworked waitress, a cook and what I assume to be his dishewasher/prepper frantically running about attempting to satisfy the many needs of the multitude of folks who came through those doors.Mind you I tipped, as I can see that the fault lay in the fact that they lack manpower. But because of this the food was serveres cold or burnt. The manager was accommodating to our concerns. However, with so many options, what can one do? Return once more and suffer through the growing pains. It's like watching a train wreck -- perhaps the entertainment is what keeps me from hating this experience.
We like Denny's They have something for everybody in the family.
Wonderful Service, fast and courteous. Polite staff , food was great and they took care of Everyone without people being ignored. Very Good Place. Better than Most Denny's.?
Amazing food, generous portions, lovely environment, great staff. Could be extra crowded on Sunday mornings. Just be ready to wait for seating.
We requested a booth with a view, but the hostess said that table wasn't available, and gave us a booth that put the sun in our eyes and faced a parking area. The next people who came in, however, were seated at the booth I had requested. The food arrived quickly. Usually when I order Eggs Benedict the eggs are poached, but these were fried. My husband asked for rye toast, but had to settle for whole wheat. Once we had our plates, the waitress didn't return to offer more coffee until we were finished eating.
OK so its been a 100 years since we ate at a Denny's. But we were almost forced to eat at this one as we were very hungry and didn't have time to explore our options. We were surprised by the quality of the food and the value. Service was great. And the view was over the top.
The hostess was texting on her phone for five minutes while we waited to be seated without even looking up, it was the same when we went to pay the check. The waitress was sweet, but got our order wrong, which cost us more money. The food arrived Luke warm cheesey hash browns the cheese wasn't even melted, so for the amount of money for breakfast it was very disappointing.
