We love coming here! The food and service never disappoints! Remember to leave room for the Kona Coffee Mud pie, so yummy and so big you can share it with your friend.

Food here was amazing. The portion sizes were huge, and fairly priced. We really enjoyed their special Saimin, and other brunch dishes were tasty as well. Servers were very nice to us. Great experience. :)

We ordered the chicken katzu, Korean chicken and Kailua pork with cabbage. So yummy! Amazing food, great service highly recommended. Price is good too but even if it was more it would still be worth it!

we have eaten here several times - it is always really good! plates are large and staff is friendly - will go back again!

I got the Macadamia nut waffle with sausage and eggs. The food was really good.

So I’ll start with why 3 stars, should have been 4. Didn’t want to seat us because of kids. Not fun. Asked the party behind, checked a list. Then reluctantly seated us at off hours - restaurant at 50% capacity.Otherwise exactly as advertised. Diner style, huge portions delicious Hawaiian food.Plenty of meat, not quite enough gravy, but still delicious. Beef teyiaki, one pile was amazing, the second had been reheated and was a little dry/over cooked.Quick service, most friendly (except when we wanted to be seated).Won’t visit again. Rude.

Have to have breakfast at least once on each visit. I have my Loco Moco with three meats and my wife love the Siamen(sp). I have had other food selections and all were good. Service is also great. You should plan ahead if you go, like all good dining place there is often a line.

I adore this place. Amazing food, chill atmosphere, and friendly staff. I love their roast pork; it's wonderfully tender and I love mixing the rice with gravy

We have been going to the Big Island Grill since 2009. It is a must for every visit. There food is every bit as good as it was the first time we ever visited. They have limited their hours now to only 8 to 2, and they are only open Tuesday through Saturday. They serve breakfast all day (maybe the lunch items too, don’t remember). So if you want to visit, you will have to get their during this limited time frame. They have pared down their menu, which is kind of a bummer because they took off one of my favorite items, but oh well- I have other favorites there as well so it worked out:) As long as this place is open, we will come back every single time we are on the Big Island.

Great basic family restaurant. Loco Moco, B.I.G waffles and, of course, Spam, all served with a friendly smile.
