Heavy but tasty. 808 is a family-run restaurant with take-out only service. They have seats outside, but the parking lot setting will heat up fast.We ordered a variety of mocos and Benedicts. The smoked meat moco was recommended by the owner. We also got a Benedict trio, a kalua hash Benedict, and the Portuguese sausage moco. All super tasty, salty and rich. Will definitely recommend, but probably after an afternoon or activity.

Dope food. The chocolate chip pancakes were huge and very good. Also got the omelette with adobo rice - phenomenal! There was a line and not much seating space outside (there is no dine in) but we got the food pretty quick within 5-8mins. CASH only so bring the mula $$

808 Grindz is an absolute must while you’re in Kona!!! The service was super friendly, and the food came out quickly and was hot, fresh, and SO DELICIOUS!!! Literally the best loco moco we have ever had, never had anything close to this good! Our only regret was we only went once during our trip, but 808 Grindz will be our first stop next time We’re in town!

I had high hopes for this restaurant. I read reviews and talked to someone who had eaten here. The food was good but they were only taking orders to go. Cash only. They had a few tables on the walkway if you wanted to eat there.

Because of it's good reviews, we tried to eat here twice. First time we got there and did not realize it was closed on Tuesdays. Went back on Friday and there was a note stating closed from 17th through 23rd. Never got to try it and a waste of a drive both times.

Fast service and delicious food. Loved the loco moco and mac nut pancakes. As my son declared, "the most perfect lunch ever!"

The staff was super friendly and the food didn't take long. Only outdoor seating available. The Portuguese Moco was great! Unfortunately, the short ribs were really fatty and tough. My kids loved the waffles, although the "Reese's peanut butter and chocolate chip waffle" was simply a waffle with peanut butter slathered on the bottom, but no chocolate.

Needed some breakfast and after a bit of TripAdvisor research gave 808 a try. To go food with limited table space on the sidewalk, but really good. The amount of food I got lasted 3 days. Would go back.

We have had the seafood, country and Da Kanak Attack Omelettes, and the macadamia nut pancakes with coconut sauce, with Fried potatoes. Of course not on the same day… This is a place you will want to come back to again and again! Consistently wonderful and tasty food! Pancakes to die for, fried potatoes just right and delicious omelettes. So hole in the wall and not much to look at or many seats outside but service was super friendly, food fresh, delicious, and very reasonable priced. What more could you ask for!

Mochiko chicken was the best flavor ever. Mixed with rice mmmmm! Our smoked pork Moco and rainbow toast were ok. But chicken was soooo good.
