For a tex mex loving girl this place was not the best. My carne asada burrito didn't have a lot of flavor, but the steak wasn't chewy or anything. I made the mistake of ordering mild salsa because I don't love chunky and it was basically tomato sauce. My boyfriend liked his veggie fajitas. Rice and beans were just ok. The best part was the Mexican bottled soda, lol.
We loved this lovely Mexican restaurant in Maui. The place is very vegetarian/ vegan friendly: the rice and beans (black beans and refried beans) are vegetarian; how often does that happen?? The food is outstanding; we had tacos, quesadilla, and enchiladas. Everything was excellent!! But what makes this place special is the lady who runs it, Michelle. She is such a sweetheart; she explains the menu to you and guides you as you order. I was surprised she did not charge us for the extra chips and salsa we ordered. She was so kind to give my son a bottle is water for free!! Like seriously, who does that anymore. The spicy salsa is amazing!! Michelle, you should bottle and sell it. Its’s that good.
Would give a 5 star if it wasn’t for the owner . Rest of personnel were great and attentive, food was delicious, but this one lady (I assume one of the owners) had no idea of how to run a restaurant, didn’t have ice for the beverages, really bad attitude towards customers one of the employees even apologized to us In Spanish saying that she was “difficult”. Hope she learns from their people how to service better and run a restaurant business. Again, food was great .
This food was delicious! The pollo asada regular burrito had great flavor and was tender. I would eat here again. We got to the restaurant just before 11 and we're the only people there so we were initially a bit worried that it might not be that good. Shortly after we ordered though the place became packed. We ordered at just the right time as every table was full before we finished eating.
This was the first restaurant we ate at on our trip to Maui. Being from California, we eat at many delicious Mexican places. We loved eating at Las Piñatas of Maui. My party ordered an enchilada, a tostada salad meal (I can't remember what exactly it is), 2 crunchy shredded beef tacos, and a shredded beef Kitchen Sink burrito. It was all delicious. The only complaint I really have is that the burrito I shared fell apart really easily; it had a thin tortilla. It was very tasty, though.Also, something to keep in mind, mild salsa is definitely mild here. It's sometimes really hard to judge at a new restaurant how hot the salsa is, so I typically error on the mild side of salsas, despite loving hot salsas and foods. This salsa was so mild, it was like we were eating tomato soup. It had zero heat. It was good, but I'd advise others to keep that in mind when ordering their salsa heat.Overall, this was good, and I would recommend it to others.
Stopped in with the kids after being on a direct 11 hour flight from the east coast. I was HANGRY! The service was so friendly and welcoming! We had salsa and chips to start and then I had the fish taco! It was fantastic! The family ordered steak and shrimp tacos, they ate everything and said they were good. I was too busy stuffing my face to notice at that moment!!Also filled with locals - which to me says it all! De-LISH!!!
We came here for a quick bite before heading back to the airport. The food was amazing and the service was also great! We got the bean, cheese and rice burrito with red sauce and thoroughly enjoyed it!
Love the service, super nice lady who gave us a free pinatas bag. Cool Pinata decorations. Pretty decent food aswell. Been going here everytime I fly to Maui and its always the same solid mexican food.
