First, I love how they have a picture menu. Coming from the mainland and visiting Hawaii-Maui for the first time, I wanted to try local food, but words on a page don't help me much - a photo OTOH is worth 1,000 words!!! Next, I noticed that the plate I wanted came with macaroni salad by default, which I don't care for. So I asked if I can substitute it for something else, and the lady immediately suggested a green salad, which I accepted. The order was correct when it came out, and absolutely delicious! The lemon caper butter sauce with the mahi mahi was totally ONO, as the locals say. Although I didn't have a lot of interaction with the staff, both of those I spoke with were kind and professional. I'd love to order what I ate again, as well as try other items from the menu.
Could have been good if they would have had salt. When I asked for some they said they don’t have any and I thought “that’s obvious “. Too bad because it was so close to being really good. I feel like that is poor service especially after waiting for 40 minutes.
Stopped by for a takeout meal Saturday night. Loco moco and the Big Kahuna (combo platter). Very filling, good portion. Not a place to go if you’re counting calories but pretty tasty and decent prices. Fast service.
Very tasty Mahi Mahi burger. Only $10 per burger. Highly recommended. We also tried their fries which were delicious. We came here multiple times. It never disappoints. They have outdoor seating at the ‘food court’. The service is very efficient and the food is very fresh. A must stop if I’m Maui.
Shrimp were very large and well cooked for deep fried, the fries were fresh and hot, but not very crunch and the sauce on top tasted very salty. Very friendly and open before everyone else... we appreciate that!
Had a very unfortunate experience just now with this place. This is our first EVER time in Hawaii and so far we haven’t experienced kindness which is really disheartening. We ordered a separate side of rice for our daughter and paid for it, we got our food and we didn’t have the rice for her so I went to the window and kindly said that her rice wasn’t in our bag that we had paid for which our meal was over $50 and if we could please get it since this is the very first place we have ate at since getting off the plane a hour ago. She tried to say that she added my daughters rice to the inside of the other meal but that wasn’t true that meal comes with its own rice and my daughters side of rice was not added to that we checked she got upset closed the window opened it a few seconds later set a container of rice down and shut the window hard before I could even say thank you or ask for a fork. We were eating so I didn’t have my mask with me so I apologize for not having it on at the window but instead used a tee shirt to cover my face. For only being in Hawaii 1 hour and that is our first experience from Hawaii was just truly not ok especially when I was super kind to her. Kindness goes along way and unfortunately didn’t experience that today from here.The food was good though we enjoyed it, but the experience with the staff member was really harsh so it ruined our entire experience eating there.
We went here twice in the week we were here, the lo o move was that good! The Katzu chicken was pretty good, as well. Large portions, great for sharing!
One of the few places I could find open for breakfast before heading to Hana. Great food and service.
This place was absolutely delicious. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars was because they mixed up my order with someone else’s and then they took an extra 20mins to have my food ready. I had already waited 15-20mins before receiving someone else’s order. However, the food quality was amazing!! My taste buds were satisfied. I had the Jumbo Katsu Shrimp & my son had the Chicken Katsu plate; he loved his food just as much as I did if not more! It is sort of hidden but well worth the search. By the time I actually got my food I was so hungry that I forgot to take a photo, but trust it was delicious! Aloha!!
followed online order instructions only to find out order never received after I checked in to check... waited 15 mins to find they do not have my order...and nothing was ready... wasted my time
