Great twist from your typical fast food. Restaurant was clean and new, service was great. Food was just like the picture. Highly recommend the spaghetti and fried chicken.
Chicken is always delish, hamburger steaks are usually great, but this time, I believe it was spoiled, it was bubbly in the gravy and hamburger steaks were sour, so I discarded it, I live way in Haiku, so couldn't go back.... but will let them know if I go another time ??
There were other issues with my order but I will point out the most irritating one. There are chicken tenders in my bucket that are the size of chicken nuggets. The inconsistency in the size of their chicken tenders is extreme. I have had some that are the width of 3.5 fingers across, others that are 1.5 fingers across and most recently the chicken nugget sized pieces. You can't actually plan family meals with this because the amount of food you get each time is so extremely different. One days it's enough and the next day you will have to add something else to feed the same amount of people. For $32 plus tax this sad. I ordered the 10 piece bucket that comes with three (small in appearance) sides. It has been stated by several people that it's expensive compared to what you get, so I will not say more on that.Maybe if they get it together in the size dept I will continue to shop there but if not, I will be looking towards some of the new places opening up or something. There are items that I have gotten without issue previously but the chicken tenders are my favorite. I also really love their pineapple BBQ sauce, peach mango pies and adobo rice. But again, they are pricey compared to McDonald's apple pie and KFC sides.
The food is ok. I don't think it is as good as some of their other stores that I have eaten at. The service used to be really good when they first opened. Lately I have to say the food seems to have improved a little I guess the grills and kitchen needed time to break in. Sadly though the service has gotten worse at least in the walk in or dinning room. The last 2 times I have been there the employees were busy chatting in Filipino and could not be bothered for several min especially since another employee started chatting with the other 2 girls. Then they finally acknowledged me standing at the counter to pick up my food that had been sitting behind them during their conversation. Did I mention I was the only one in line or at the counter. Really need to work on retraining your counter people and I am local but the service was just rude. So with so many chicken places opening up maybe time to do retaining. Filipino lady's at KFC could teach these guys about customer service.
Very polite service staff at Jollibee… the takeout order and pickup driveway is a bit tight and you can see where vehicles have scraped the corner of the building making the turn to get to the takeout window. Be aware of that everyone.
I've been hearing this is the best fried chicken on Maui, now, so I had to see for myself. Gotta say, I agree! It's drive thru only and there was a long line, so everything I got was fresh and super hot. The employee at the window was also very nice and efficient. They only sell thighs and legs, but I'm not a fan of dark meat. The only white meat options are chicken tenders and the chicken sandwich. Both were super juicy inside and nice and crispy outside. The tenders are huge! Two of them made about a whole breast. I got the gravy as my dipping sauce and paid a few extra cents for ranch. Both were fine. Nothing to write home about. They really tasted best with no sauce at all! I could only eat one, but the other two reheated nicely (in the toaster oven) the next day and were still very crispy. The umami mayo on the chicken sandwich is to die for! If only they had pickles at Jollibee, it would have been a 5 star sandwich. I had a few fries while fresh and they were really good. By the time I got home they were soggy, tho. I'd skip the mashed potatoes altogether. Minit Stop now has competition. I'll definitely be returning!
Not bad for fast food chicken. Just wish they had indoor dining right now.
Good chicken and I love their peach mango pies. They need a bigger drive through. It is a little tight going through with my corvette and that is the only reason i didn't give them 5 stars
I like part time in the Philippines I was introduced to Jollibee 15 years ago over it's good priced n larger portions,we were excited when we heard they were coming to Maui here it's way overpriced the spaghetti and chicken n rice n gravy combos here in Maui are small portions, and the price of a 12 piece bucket is ridiculous it's good chicken while fresh and hot,if you don't eat it all right then it turns into a soft greasy mess. Just go to KFC unless you are looking to try something different and pay a lot more for a lot less KFC is still on the next day. Mike mason
This is the place for chicken. Drive thru is a little slow but worth it. Their chicken sandwiches are amazing.
