Decided to go here for lunch. Try and eat at a locals spot. Plus I have eaten here from when I was a small kid thru adulthood. I just haven't been in a while. My girlfriend and I decided that we wanted a sit-down lunch. We were greeted and seated immediately. Everyone was friendly and the place was very clean. The menu has definitely gotten smaller but that is understandable with everything that is going on. The food came out quickly we had a combo meal A which had some veggie and shrimp tempura, beef teriyaki, and chicken katsu. I had the shrimp and veggie tempura plate. They both came with a lot of food and the food was all cooked very well. The prices have gone up but it is also a small local place that is still open so we were happy to pay and the service was excellent. We will be going back to try the sushi menu.
Rarely take the time to post my thoughts, positive or negative, for any business, but felt I needed to this time. Bought Sushi from this place last night and neither my wife or I have been able to sleep due to stomach aches and the sorts. We have been avid Sushi lovers for years and like to try new places when we travel and never had had such a bad experience as this after eating the food. Let alone the fact that they took 1 hr to get me the food, and it was cold. Don’t recommend this place by any stretch of the imagination!!

Very nice place. We were looking for a place to eat prior to leaving Maui. Exceptionally nice staff! I had Kalbi Ribs which were excellent. My wife had a California Roll which she said was very good.
Just awesome. Chef was a awesome , food was awesome, service awesome. Everything was so good. I can’t believe I never been here before. def will be a regular now.

The dish I ordered was a pretty good size. But, it tastes just okay.
They exceeded all my possible expectations. They were quick, delicious and attentive. Being for PDX and visiting Maui for the first time I hope I can return and see that they are still thriving. They are even better than my favorite place Shigezo in Portland, OR.
Good food. Kind of a cross between Japanese and local Hawaiian dishes. Fried California roll was huge. We each got a dish and took home half the food.
