First time in Honolulu Hawaii. Hubby and I wanted to eat somewhere local. Zippy's McCully is so good. I ordered the Zip pack deluxe. It was beyond what I expected.
First time trying this location. Although we ate on take out side, the air con was extremely cold and refreshing. The staff was courteous and friendly. Loved it
I got the Zip PAC Deluxe. Of course I’m Hawaiian and miss Zippys so that always my first go to. I could eat everything on the menu so maybe it’s not fair for me to rate this restaurant. Lol

Zippys is a must go too! The food was soo goood! We ate there 3 times while we were in Hawaii!
Quick seating because we went when nobody was there. You can do the QR code outside for seating or online before you come like usual after covid practices started.Food comes out decently quick usually even when full but because it was empty it came out super quick for us. Did take out in the dine-in area for my sister at home and it was good.Despite it being empty it was hard to flag the server down, didn't really look at us. But they came and refilled our drinks fairly often.*** Did not check temperature. Did wear mask. ***
The chili that they're known for is pretty good. I ordered a Korean chicken and chili combination. The chicken was just pieces of chicken thigh deep fried with a little sauce drizzled on top, so there was no real Korean flavor.
The staff behind the cashier is always friendly! The Furikake Salmon plate is FIRE! Wish it was on the regular menu. On Fridays it’s always the Lau Lau plate for me - the oily juicy Lau Lau is so ono! The Zip Pac has gotten so pricey over the years - it’s good to have once in a while especially the deluxe with da Zippy’s famous Chili! I substitute the chicken with SPAM or fish, the chicken is almost always hard and dry - hard to enjoy the plate. The daily specials menu has gotten smaller, that means less staring at the menu!

Zippy’s is legit. People kept saying it was like Hawaii in Dennys so I had low expectations, but it blew me out the water. The zip deluxe pac is where it’s at. Who would have known fried chicken and chili was a combination made in Heaven.
