Absolutely HORRIBLE! It was touted to be held on the resort’s great lawn but when I checked in and asked where it was, they told me that they had moved it to a ballroom. I should have known then. The food wasn’t that great, the drinks weren’t great nor was the atmosphere. When I told family back home about it and told them about being seriously let-down, they completely agreed. Don’t waste your money going to it. Go to the Polynesian Cultural Center and do their luau. They actually tell you the story behind the Hawaiian life. DO NOT DO THE HILTON LUAU!! And they absolutely don’t care that it wasn’t as planned.
DON’T BOOK A LUAU WITH WAIKIKI STARLIGHT LUAU. We booked our luau weeks in advance while still at home like many others. They decided to host a private event and moved our luau indoors into a ballroom. We requested a refund and got it but now have to search for another luau elsewhere when many are already booked.DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY. They have no qualms in taking your money and then canceling, rescheduling, or moving your experience even though you booked it and paid long ago.Go to Paradise Cove or the Polynesian Cultural Center instead.
We enjoyed the performances. Food was so-so. The only down side is the large number of guests versus the much smaller number of workers. I was trying to catch a worker's eye because I had a question when some guy accused me of trying to cut the line. Mind you I was off to the side and never stepped in front of him or anyone else. I avoid buffet type places for this very reason. They create a competitive attitude in some people even though there is a massive amount of food available.
You have the location wrong. We followed the instruction to the location, followed the signs, climbed to the empty rooftop of a parking garage, there we found a sign directing us somewhere else. Here are the pics (1) is of the directions and (2) the sign at the parking rooftop. Btw, there’s no ballrooms, it all a lie.
The show was Great and the dinner was not good, to dry.
The show was great! Very talented dancers and musicians. The drinks were very watered down and the food was not very good at all. For the price it's not worth it. It was also quite short and even though they said at the end to stay as long as you like they started putting things away almost immediately. It was just kind of underwhelming. The drink situation was also a huge disappointment.
We have been at countless luaus on different islands but this was the only one inside a convention room. Totally changes the authentic luau experience. Food was okay, entertainment was great but the cheesy background took away from the enjoyment. Definitely would not recommend and Definitely will not be back.
The luau was held inside a conference room and did not meet expectations in comparison to what we paid. The performers were good but an indoor luau with a mediocre plated meal is not worth it. This was the most disappointing evening of our stay and a waste of money.
Was such a wonderful night. They did an AWESOME job start to finish with the luau considering these Covid times. Was WELL worth going to see.
They held the luau inside a building wish we knew ahead of time would have canceled performances was good
