Airport Lounges

I’m always satisfied with the amenities and meals at this United lounge — however, I had a bad experience which was no fault of United. The staff was very friendly, and the lounge was clean. We found a great spot near the window where we could charge our devices and have our daughter eat her meal — we were actually receiving stares from an older couple. We suspect that this was racially motivated, as another family with two kids also noticed that they were staring in our direction. It had gotten worse when they also sat with us, and they were also people of color. Our children were not loud, and were just eating their meals. We were not making noise, and really keeping to ourselves. At least we had a good selection of lunch items and snacks, but I did pay a little over $100 for racial profiling.

There isn't much to this place and like every other meal in Hawaii, leaves so much to be desired. It's a very small lounge and the only thing worth eating is the fresh pineapple. The turkey sandwich on a Hawaiian roll looked worse than prison sandwiches with the measles half slice of cheese and single slice of turkey. The view is nice but if you're looking for food and don't have a free pass, you'll be better off trying one of the places downstairs.

Please note this is a Post-COVID review.Nicely appointed Lounge, away from the general hustle of the airport. Great tarmac views! The dining options where...lackluster. a few cold options and one "warm" option, but nothing really noteworthy or defining. Cup Noodles where available, so I ate some of those, but this did not feel like something to eat in an airport lounge.I did not get an alcoholic beverage but from the arguments I heard from other patrons most higher quality liquors are paid-for options, with only a very basic "free" selection.

This is a scam. I’m 1K frequent flyer with United. Flying to Chicago from Honolulu with my family in FIRST class (almost 9 hours flight). They did not allow us to use lounge. Can’t believe it. My wife has a United club pass that’s why only she was allowed. They claim this is only for club members. First class not allowed.Going to throw this United credit card as well.

The HNL lounge always has good food. The best Mac salad. Nice views

The lounge was clean. I arrived here a little later in the day which may explain the limited variety of foods. Wish they had more vegan and vegetarian options. Funnily, there was Cup Noodles to eat. There were 2 other soups but had dairy or meat in them. The bar is fine, nothing outstanding. Keep in mind, we're still in a pandemic so I do appreciate the measures they've taken to ensure our safety. Thanks, United!

Glad we chose this option. It gave us a chance to unwind and eat a meal before we left. The meal options were few. But good. We have been at lounges with a larger variety and options. But this was not bad. My only gripe is the lounge was so far away from where the domestic flight gates were.

Wonderful staff. Thank you for the cheer. Mini musubi are a plus! Mahalo nui.

Food was really good and there were not a lot of people. Very clean!

Clean, spacious, plenty of available and comfortable seats. Food offering is decent for Covid restricted times. All drinks including soda and coffee are served at the bar in small cups, requiring multiple bar visits. Delicious Thai mango noodle salad and Dole whip. Receptionists were not very welcoming; no Aloha spirit.
