Amazing customer service, great food, wished that ability to split the bill was better accommodated.I told my waiter I wanted separate checks, then a waitress (different person) came back with a single check. To combat their stubbornness, my friend and I just placed 2 cards in, to which they split the check right in half. ??I thought the food was okay. It was tasty and portions were just the right amount to keep me content. The location is in a decent place to find parking and other shops like Luna Tea for dessert. This is a kind of place that's for fancy dinner if you're a nearby UH student without access to transportation. Great walking distance to foodie options within this plaza.

Yummy food and quick customer service! My friend had ordered when they got there because they had another reservation after us, so by the time we arrived the food had all came out. We had to remind our server of our waters, but other than that service was quick and timely. Can't wait to dine here again! Definitely recommend making a reservation as it seemed busy if you try to walk in.

Out with an old shipmate to have a decent sit down meal. The service was excellent, as well as the food. I would recommend this establishment to anyone whose looking for good food and an down to earth environment.

Starting off with this is a very small restaurant. Don’t expect to come here with big parties or without reservations. The price here is on the expensive side, this was our most expensive food outing on our trip. That being said they have authentic and fusion style Japanese izakaya goods. Drinks are great and the atmosphere reminds me greatly of Japan. You’ll see lots of local Japanese people hang out, watch baseball and drink the night away. We tried almost everything on the menu and were wonderfully pleased even though we sat outside on a picnic able in some slight winds.

One of the best Japanese restaurants you will find, not only in Hawaii, but across the US. Call to confirm reservations a solid 3+ days in advance. Two big guys, with big appetites walked away with 2 beers each and full bellies for under $150 total. Get the Karaage Chicken with Tartar and you will be in heaven. So many amazing dishes!!!One of my favorite places of all time.

Happened to go during one of their anniversaries. Which they then had their own special menu, which were priced excellently! Everything was tasty and the vibe of the place/staff was amazing!Would definitely recommend!

Amazing food and service. Highly recommend the gizzard, chicken karaage and premium wagyu beef. We needed to make a reservation a few days ahead

Started off great. We made a reservation and was seated promptly once we got there. We were attended to and our order was taken about 10min in. There were only about 3 parties/tables filled inside. Our big orders came first out one after another (first picture). We noticed that after about 45min of eating the same things, our other food hadn’t come out. So I asked for our check and to just cancel whatever order hadn’t come yet. I was told that it was already on the grill and I was given my check. So then we just felt forced to wait some more because we were already being charged for it. The order we were waiting for (2nd picture) took almost another 30 minutes to come out. While we were waiting they offered to give us complimentary food. This made us more irritated because they can give us free food but couldn’t just comp the order which took an hour to come out. It was one stick of meat, peppers and tomatoes! On top of it.. the reasons we were being given (we have a small grill…it’s cold outside…) did not help at all. We paid and left.

Our favorite izakaya on the island! They have a ton of great food options and the staff is always friendly, quick, and attentive. Reservations are definitely recommended, especially on weekends. Sometimes tables are available for walk-in later on weeknight evenings, but no guarantee.

Tori Ton is the best! We forgot to make the reservation, and the gentleman standing at the front door was trying hard to give us a seat. The food came out faster than I thought; very authentic skewers and Uden. My favorite dishes are Pork Wrapped Japanese Rice (with dipping egg) and Quail Eggs.
