Really kind, personable service in this cute little nook of a Thai restaurant. There is a brisk takeout business, too.The fresh , crunchy Thai cucumber salad had lovely flavours and was spicy enough to make me cry throughout the entire meal. The summer rolls, were well, bland like summer rolls, with their rice noodles and bits of chicken and veg inside and a saccharinely sweet, slightly peanutty sauce. The pad Thai was a strange, though not unpleasant, amalgamation of chewy noodles, as they should be, in a sweet, oily sauce that tasted more like KC barbecue than anything else. Bits of chicken and a hint of slices of vegetable rounded it out.
I lick the green curry bowl. Highest recommended by my local friend.
Good variety of tasty food. Lots of parking. The waitress helped make some suggestions of what to order, and everything was good, except, I wasn't crazy about the sticky rice. It had some hard, crunchy(dry) pieces, and for an individual serving, it was expensive. I would definitely go back, but no sticky rice
Sweet sour chicken was bomb! Must try! Fried pork was good too. Clean restaurant with a small homey feel. Quick service and friendly staff. Loved it!
Been ordering take out from Thai Issan out of pure convenience. Unfortunately, the food has progressively gotten worse. Inconsistent portions and flavors. Vegetables are old and flavorless. Service has gone from indifferent to straight up rude. Will stick with Phuket on Ward from now on.
Got the chicken pad Thai. While the spice level was spot on (5 star - Thai hot), there was minimal amounts of chicken. And for the reviewer who said that portions were huge, I felt them to be average for typical Thai food. Would have been a 5 star rating with more chicken. Can’t beat the price, though - $11.95 vs $19 at home.
Great prices! And the portions are good too. The pad thai and spring rolls are delicious. Some of the best Thai food I've had in Honolulu.
I’ve tried many different thai restaurants in hawaii and this is by far the best. I have never gotten sick from their food. Taste authentic and customer service is nice but maybe they can hire another server because the kid was busting his a** off all by himself(he was sweating even with the AC blasting. Yes, BRING A JACKET! The AC is ridiculous cold and don’t even think moving to another table will make it better, it’s all the same anywhere in the restaurant, lol. All the customers including me were playing musical table ?Btw, their papaya salad was extremely spicy(medium spicy) but it was still good ??The owner is a bit odd with his funky shirts and slick back receding hairline hairdo, lol. He’s a little rude-ish but maybe it’s the language barrier ??♀️Food is good! Gogogo! ?
This restaurant is understaffed and it was really unclear whether you seat yourself etc. We sat ourselves after asking another patron there to pick up their take-out order. We quickly learned their was only one waitress but she was very friendly and tried to be very accommodating. We received our food quicker than we thought we would and it was absolutely delicious. The fried pork Egg Rolls were perfect! I loved my Shrimp & Steak Stir-Fry! My husband ate every bit of his Broccoli and Chicken and he isn’t a fan of Thai food. Overall, we are happy we didn’t leave after the brief confusion upon our arrival.
We had dinner at restaurant a year ago(2021) and it was good. We took our cousins from out of town to this restaurant for dinner last week(February, 2022) and we all were so disappointed!!! New chef ?We would not come back!
