John is the most pleasant and accommodating person ever!!He is so attentive! On my birthday, he gave me my favoriteblueberry pancakes without being asked. Who does that?He's always working and tries to give a variety of meals on hismenu. I want to eat there every night but I live in Kaneohe.The bartenders are great, always making sure your glass isfilled and you're happy. What more could you ask for?
Staff, Food and Music was awesome! The spinach and artichoke dip was soooooo goooood! Definitely go to place when in town.

Came in looking for a lava flow. I know, its a terrible cliche but I love slushy drinks. Unfortunately the blender was broken and after I made a dramatic display of Shakespearean woe, we were going to leave. However, the bartender who was friendly and personable, offered to make me a custom something else. He told a funny story as he was making it. And the drink was strong and delicious and still captured that island flavor that one might achieve with a lava flow. Always nice to visit the lgbtq shops.
Pretty much my home bar. It's not classy, more like homey. Think Cheers without Diane and Carla. People friendly. Left wing progressive and laid back.

I moved to Hawai’i about a year ago and couldn’t be more thankful to have met John, his customers; and his ohana at Tapa’s. They’ve shown us some serious aloha? Stop and see them if you have the chance.
